im pretty sure u need to use the 5k ohm caps.... but i swapped cdi boxes an trailered it over to his house and it fired....lol he tuned her in good...other than that havnt had a problem... just working on the jetting and its golden .... alil rich off the bottom...i think my pilot maybe too rich like u said overboost... thanx again for showing me again bro!!

LOL i have to agree after coming into a banshee from being a 450 4-stroker...the banshee's power comes on like a rush off "move it or lose it booitch... " ... i just finally rode my banshee for the first time and Gooood thing i made sure my rear brake work well .... i almost wheelied it backwards on her maiden voyage when the powerband hit ....lol...its fun to hold on too...

ok so i installed the new coil and cdi box .... still no spark .... check stator and its ohms out within specs no problem...and the pick up coil also is within specs.... idk what to do....

GEEZZZZ sorry guys about all the doube posting .... trying to reply by my cell phone suxs... but i figured that it is the cdi box.... seems like the prevous owner had did a little work to it .... seems like the the box took a good hit and had a good crack and broke a chip of it ... so someone tried to use silicone to seal it back up ... well i cut the cdi outta the box and it got some mositure into it and started to corrode..... sux ... oh well...a new cdi on the way ...

oh yea an the tors is lone gone an ran fine after so.....yea im stumped guys...

ok so i have a problem with my 88 shee.... i rode yesterday with no problems and then today i got to fire it up and it fired up for a second and died .... so i check for fuel and spark and found that i had no spark.... i check both the stator and pickup coil and everything is in spec so i checked the coil and the primary side was ok but when i followed the manuals way of checkin the secondary side by testing from the black side of the primary side to the either wire on the secondary side of the coil i got nothing .... and this was on two different coils .... so what im asking is does anyone know what voltage either ac or dc should i be seeing on the primary side of the coil coming from the cdi to rule out if i have a coil or a cdi problem..... thanx for any help.... i just finished my winter rebuild and im dying to ride..... please help a brutha out ...lol

and the guy i bought the quad from never finished putting in the idle screws for the tors disable ... how far down do u grind the part on the card down for the idle screws to be long enough? thanx

so does it suck cause i have one good stock left carb but i need a right body cause the stock right i have the idle screw someone killed it and the threads r wasted...so its those or the power jetted set ....

yea its excatly like that ....so its mounted in the air side throat of the carb ... well someone jb welded it in ....guess he never wanted to take it out ..lol

well i bought this 88 shee in a box and rolling chassis...well i went threw it all and rebuilt everything and well im not sure where to start for the main jet since the quad had different pipes that didnt go with the shee so i got my hands on some stockers and threw them on but, when i got the cylinders back from the machine shop the guy said their had been a good clean up and small port work done...but he couldnt really tell me anymore than that...he told me to start with a main of 240 but he has never used power jets so he didnt know... i have 25 threw 30 for pilots and 210-240 for mains, the 1.6 air jets and the 1.4 starter jets r in both carbs with a stock airbox and a single k&n with the lid on and snorkle off... i live in michigan and i ride from 700- 1100 ft above sea level..how many jet sizes can the power jet be worth...its the set from fFAST. http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=367 ... i emailed them but havnt heard anything yet ...so any ideas? thanx for any help ..
