My friend is about to rebuild his old Banshee and I had a couple questions about his potential setup. When he used to ride in high school (early 2000) he put FMF fatties, Trinity 33mm PWK 2 in 1 and some Vito's pistons.. nothing else was changed. Anyway, the right cylinder lost a little compression, we've all grown up and it's been pretty much been parked ever since. Potential New Setup: HJR Play/Dune Port (anyone closer to us in Texas you'd recommend?) Buy another 33mm PWK (Japanese) or a 38mm? If we go the two carb route- is there a preferred intake, or are they pretty much similar? Stock head reworked to I guess 21cc equivalent? 4 degree timing Plate alone or go ahead and buy the plate with stator too? He also needs a new coil as one of his wires was accidentally pulled loose. Any recommendations? I guess my question is primarily about the carbs. Will twin 33mm be too much? He was trying to do this somewhat economical and obviously just match what he already has..
