  1. my buddy vegasjeff sent you a message yesterday about a duneable override. its for me. he says youre the man to talk to. i tried sending you a message but when i send it the message is lost and doesnt say anything in my "sent" box. hopefully you can help me with what i need. ive finally decided to build a bigger motor than stock and would like to upgrade the tranny at the same time. my email--teamgodzilla2004@gmail.com

  2. just a question. how many horses have you squeezed out of stock jugs, stock carbs, and stock stroke crank. what was your list of mods? i love it when people do alot with very little in any situation in life. i have alot of respect for that. but this time id like to know what kind of power members here have achieved with stock looking cylinders, carburetors, and crank.

  3. Hey i was wondering if you guys could make any suggestions for setting up a 400ex for hare scrambles. My buddy is going to be getting into it. Our local shop is telling him to put a lowering kit on it but to me that sounds completely wrong. He has a pretty good sponsor lined up so budget shouldnt be a problem. Let me know what you suggest. I am thinking about getting into it next year with my shee but all it's going to need is a woods port and suspension since it is pretty much already set up for low end power. Appreciate the help.

some of our riding buddies have this same bike. the ones that know how to ride good can keep up with just about anyone. these hondas are great for trailriding and desert racing. where we go riding is pretty harsh, and rocky. all these bikes need for tight trails and rocky terrain is gearing, good tires, good pipe, cam, good bars that wont break like the stock ones like to. do not big bore these motors. all ive ever seen is happiness for alittle while and then sadness when the freakin thing starts leaking oil everywhere. change out the piston for a better one but do not big bore. i dont know if its the heat over here. we ride in 105 degree weather in the summer and 30 and 40 degree weather in the winter. the motors in stock form internally are pretty much bullet proof. i hope this helps.

  4. i bought a set of these awhile ago. i think they are called sandhaulers. once they are on the rim they are damn near impossible to break the bead again. they are very very soft but very durable. i never tried them but i drilled the rims to a honda bolt pattern and one of my less fortunate riding buddies used them for sand trips. he was very happy. he rides a trx480 with cams and all that stuff. he likes them way better than the old sandstars he was using. he says they ride really soft too. hes in love.

  5. Look at the date of this thread.

i think that even if a thread is 100 years old it shouldnt matter. this site for me is like a library of information. it has helped me out a great deal and i greatly appreciate all the information the members take the time to share. people search and look around for answers to questions that might be looming around in their head. i dont know alot yet about these bikes, but im learning. so if there is any information that i might have that i think might help someone i will definatly add it.

  6. hey you guys, do you know with who or where i can buy the aftermarket rear carrier assy and the round tube that pinches it. im pretty decent with a welder, i used to extend a-arms, reinforce axles, and completly wrap impala frames for hopping competitively. i used to extend and reinforce rear trailing arms and all that crap. im thinking of just buying the rear carrier and the tube that surrounds it and welding it to the end of the stock swinger in order to get rid of the disgusting stock rear carrier. im not into putting makeup on a bike, so dont complain. im not into sprucing up a bike in appearance just to please others. and it doesnt have to look like a beauty. it just has to be functional. its a bike, im going to use the hell out of it and it will get thrashed. if you dont like what im going to do then keep it to yourself. im looking for some help in finding the best supplier and price for these items. any help will do. thank you in advance.

  7. i have a friend on here. look him up...vegasjeff. he weighs 180 lbs...his bike is a 421 cheetah cub with in frames, 35mm carbs, straightcut gears, lockup clutch, blah blah blah... his bike is producing 84 horse on the dyno. he has the sheet to prove it. he runs 21 inch 8 paddle extremes and he runs a stock swinger. he has gotten the hang of it well and he races that bike all day everytime we head to dumont or amargosa sand dunes. he destroys people, even a few that have longer swingarms. people always come up to him and ask him what he has and cant believe that he was hanging with them or even beating them with a stock swingarm.

  8. ride more whoops :)

yours is the best answer. i ride every damn weekend with my buddies in some of the harshest terrain youve ever seen. we are so used to it that when we head to the sand its like a vacation. whoops are nothing to us. even the bikes with the stock suspensions fly throught the whoops. its just a matter of getting used to it.
