I just got my first banshee yesterday, and I really like it. I tried to move it today and this is what happened.
I had to kick start it like 10 times, and I still did not get it started. I was told to try a compression test on it and I did (hopefully I did that right) and it came out around 70psi. After getting mad at the shee, I "bumped" started it, and it ran great. When I came to a stop and just let it idle, it idled fine, no gutless takeoffs or anything. I then called the guy I got it from and asked how to exactly start it, he said that if it doesnt start after 3-5x, then SHOOT ETHER IN IT! I know that that is not the way to start it. But anyway, I just don't know what I have to do to make the thing run better, mainly start up after the first kick. Oh and by the way, something is wrong with the kick start lever, it catches every now and then, like it will go all the way down without any tension. I know something is wrong there.
its a 96 banshee, and the guy I bought it from said it was rebuilt about 15 hours ago.
HELP!
