i have a 97 banshee i just picked up with clutch problems. i took off the rh case and the plates and also the actuator arm. i found that the actuator had lots of weld material on it and the push rod was stuck in place. i was wondering if i could possibly break it free with a hammer from the right side but am not familar with how far the push rod should move into the actuator arm hole, or if possibly i could blow it right through the left side of the motor. Also i heard that i might be able to drill into the rod and then screw into it and pull it out, any thoughts on this, like damage to the shaft? Also does the actuator hole drain into the tranny or is there a bottom, as I fear that shavings have fallen in there as well, maybe a magnet to take them out. Any ideas at all would help and thanks for your time and consideration.
