  1. i just picked up this 97 banshee and took off the right side crankcase. i am working on a clutch pushrod problem but noticed that the gear that is nextto the kickstart gear is kinda loose. this gear wobbles when because it is loose when i pull and push. the kickstart gear does move a little but this is because the case is not on I think. The gear that it is connected to wiggles when pulled back and forth. I am curious if this is a major problem and what needs to be doen. can there be major damage that could happen. should this gear have any play at all. all help is very appreciated, thanks for your help
  2. i have a 97 banshee i just picked up with clutch problems. i took off the rh case and the plates and also the actuator arm. i found that the actuator had lots of weld material on it and the push rod was stuck in place. i was wondering if i could possibly break it free with a hammer from the right side but am not familar with how far the push rod should move into the actuator arm hole, or if possibly i could blow it right through the left side of the motor. Also i heard that i might be able to drill into the rod and then screw into it and pull it out, any thoughts on this, like damage to the shaft? Also does the actuator hole drain into the tranny or is there a bottom, as I fear that shavings have fallen in there as well, maybe a magnet to take them out. Any ideas at all would help and thanks for your time and consideration.
