  1. I took my air box off and put on a set of kn pods. I've got fmf fattys stock reeds not ported. I'm running 300 mains and 27.5 pilots. I ride at sea level. I ran a kn filter with no lid on the box. U guys think I'll have to go up on the mains.
  2. Thanks for all the help. I finished putting my bike back together it was missfiring on the right side untill warm cleaned carbs now it runs sweet
  3. the gasket is .028 thick, i called the place backk that sold it to me and they said to run it, they said its what they use on there builds and when they port the jugs
  4. I'm overhauling my top end I ordered my pistons and gaskets. They came in today, instead of geting two base gaskets I got a one piece metal re enforced gasket that looks like it's made for cub cylinders, the area between the jugs is real narrow, has anyone ran one of these
  5. I checked the coil. stator. and triger with a ohm meter. found the secondary side of coil was open. but when I removed the plug boots and recheck it's in spec is there resistors in the boots
  6. ya i bought fuel in florence, after the problem started i drained the tank and ran the fuel out of the carbs then put some race gas in it that a buddy was using, still same thing, do you think that a coil or stator will do this, i also swaped out a good ignition module, also found that the primary wires to the coil were on the wrong poles but the jugs are of now so ill have to wait untill its back to gether to see how it runs.
  7. the pistons looked perfect, i was going to reuse them but the machine shop talked me into boring and oversize pistons
  8. I'll start from the begining, I bought this bike a year ago with a bad trany, fixed the trans. installed all new seals and gaskets. reused top end because it looked good. bike ran awsome. the only problem it had was it would missfire on right side untill warm. checked compresion about six months ago and it was 120 with stock head and no port work. last Saturday went to dunes, bike ran awesom for about ten minutes then started crapping out, the right side was firing intermittantly, and left side was back firing out exhaust, moved plug wires around, checked reeds, checked carbs, synced carbs. all ok. checked compression and it was at 85 psi on both cylinders, so I pulled top end off and currently rebuilding. My problem is I've been told that low compresion won't cause the problem i'm having. any body have sugestions. also tors are removed and so is rev box. Thanks
