  1. It ended up being crap in one of the carbs. Once the problem started I ripped the carbs off cleaned them ect and check the reeds. Put it back together it ran good for a little while then started doing the same thing again. I was fed up with it so I took to the local "banshee guy" to have him fix it. He had it for a day or so and said oh yeah your carbs were way outta sync and you had too much oil in your air filter. I was like ok fair enough he figured it out even though it was a stupid problem, I paid him and off I went. IT was late at night so I couldnt fire it up and ride it until the next day. The next day I fire it up and go rippin down the road SAME SHIT, I was furious. Called the guy no answer and I was supposed to be going up north the next day. So I tore back into it myself only to find the left carb main jet partially blocked and there was a chunk of something underneath the needle and seat causing the carb to continuously overflow. Cleaned it all out and it runs like a raped ape again. Turns out the gas can i bought NEW had tons of crap in the bottom of it and one of the pickup tubes in my petcock had fallen off allowing the shit in the gas to get into my carb. My recommendation would be to make sure those tubes are glued in or put an inline fuel filter after the fuel tank. hope this helps
  2. NM I fixed it, but thanks for the suggestions everyone :shake:
  3. When ripping through the gears I have good power in 1st gear but as I shift through the gears is as if its running on one cylinder, it basically falls on its face. Carbs have been apart and cleaned and everything is jetted correctly and the carbs are synched. Now with this same setup quad ran great, no complaints good power no sputtering good throttle response, just all of a sudden it started this problem. Drained the gas, added new, tested the coil it tests ok .28-.38 ohms its within spec. Air filter is clean. The left cylinder spark plug is darker then the right so it leads to beleive that that cylinder is fouling out under WOT? Ive had this thing apart so many times im losing my mind and am supposed to ride this weekend...any suggestions? Its a 96, FMF fattys and turbine cores, timing key, tors eliminator.
