  1. Thank you. Is there any place to get OEM harnesses for the older style?
  2. Are the wiring harnesses on the older and newer style banshee's the same except for the connectors? I want to change out the electric on my banshee. Thanks
  3. Thanks guys, so it sounds like they are the same thing. I like the black even if it ends up looking like crap. I want to move more towards a "sleeper" look. I don't care about the additional money for the chrome, its just that I like the black. As soon as they get hot the pipes are going to turn into different crappy looking states if its chrome, painted, powder coated, whatever. I'm looking to have it dig its own grave and eventually destroy it... not rub it down with a diaper.
  4. Are the in frame pipes the same as the poor man pipes? I don't give a rats a$$ what they look like. I'm just trying to absoltuley rip.
  5. I was able to put together my bike over memorial day and pretty much got things close based on your advice, so thank you. Couple things though (of course). There was some suggestion that my pipes would suck based on the setup I'm running, too which I'm all ears. First, I think my main jet is too big. I think I need to step down. Are all Kiehen jets threaded the same size? Should I switch to a more top end pipe at the same time I try screwing with the jets? I like to knock out one variable at a time. The bike runs much better on the race gas, but I know I need new intakes. Main problem is that the engine breaks up when its pinned, and it seems to bog out when the throttle is first pressed. The carbs are synched with the tool. I don't think its far off. All my engine stat's are in my signature line.
  6. I've just pulled these out of the box brand new. Should I adjust anything to start such as the air screw or needle position? It's got Cel needles and 165 mains at sea level. Fmf pipes. Where should I start with the air screw ?
  7. Perfect, I get it. Pretty high production quality on that video. I like the chicken's in the background! Thank you very much.
  8. I am more curious how to use the carb synch tool. I had the pipes first. What kind of pipes would you recommend in this case then?
  9. Hey dudes, I have this handy carb synch tool that I received from fast for my new PWK's. Only problem, no manual. What is the correct use of this tool, and what should I try to dial the carbs in at based on what I'm seeing? BTW - I picked up some 110 VP race fuel which I will be using Here's my setup again: 33mm PWK - 52 pilot, CGL Needle, 165 Main jet (Should I mess with this? Change needle position, etc..?) V Force Three reed set up Again, I'm running FMF Gnarly New Banshee Pipes and Silencers on the bike. It's bored .40 over. It is ported. I am running a vito's hemi head with 17mm domes. I'm at sea level in Upstate New York, so probably average 75 degree's when i'm riding. I'm 155 pounds. I also plan to drain the oil in the case. Flush the cooling system. Replace the plugs.
  10. Alright, I've since ordered a bunch of stuff from Jeff at Farm and Sand toy. I am going up to New York on Memorial Day to bolt it all up, and I want to make sure i'm close enough to being good to go so I can actually spend my weekend whipping around, as opposed to constant tuning. I'm assuming I'll be doing some though. I now have in my posession: 33mm PWK - 52 pilot, CGL Needle, 165 Main jet (Should I mess with this? Change needle position, etc..?) V Force Three reed set up Again, I'm running FMF Gnarly New Banshee Pipes and Silencers on the bike. It's bored .40 over. It is ported. I am running a vito's hemi head with 17mm domes. I'm at sea level in Upstate New York, so probably average 75 degree's when i'm riding. I'm 155 pounds. I also plan to drain the oil in the case. Flush the cooling system. Replace the plugs. Anything I should think about based on the above?
  11. I am assuming that the 33's will fit in the ports I have currently? I am running an aftermarket air box, and it has the PJ 34's on it right now.
  12. would I be better off with 28mm PWK's? It looks like the next size up is 35mm which seem to go on a displacement larger than my setup. I'll run whatever will work.
  13. THanks guys. Again, I'm at sea level. The engine was build by JD Racing (I'm trying to find their website). Also, I have FMF Gnarly New Banshee Pipes and Silencers on the bike. I will switch to PWK's, and stick with the thumb throttle. I wish I had more stat's on the engine to help with, but I do know its bored .40 over, and I am running smaller domes in the head. Right now, it runs like crap, really rich, and despite my best efforts I can't get the carbs to synch. Also, and I hope this isn't a dumb question. What ratio fuel do you guys run?
  14. Hi Guys, my name is not really Minister of Death. I am glad to be here. I have come into a banshee and I am trying to freshen it up. I am at sea level (Upstate, New York). It has a ported and polished intake, and I am running smaller domes in the head for lower compression, it is bored .40 over running forged pistons. The bike came with 34mm Keihin carbs, but the throttle cable is frayed and all screwed up. Its running stock reeds which haven't been replaced probably since new. The choke on the one carb is hosed, and they probably need a rebuild. I want to start from scratch with getting fuel into the engine. I want to replace the carbs with the same ones that are on there now. Anyone have any experience tunning these? Any procedure out of the box to follow to get the rich lean and idle dialed in with one another. I also want vforce reeds in the bike. The bike has FMF Fatty pipes on it, which I am not really experienced with. I am also considering going to a twist throttle. Last, I was wondering what peoples opions of the dual petcock out of the gas tank is, it seem logical? I run the bike in about a 6 mile stretch thats more or less flat dirt roads. Thanks for your help.
