  1. okay news update. he feels like an idiot. the stupid throttle cable was slacked out and needed replaced. were gonna put a new one on and that should do the trick. but he told me after the fact that the compression in his engine is higher than normal....i guess this is why he put the race gas in.....who knows. hes not the smartest dingbat to ever walk the earth lol.
  2. do u think he hurt anything in the process?
  3. hey all. have a dumb question. i have a buddy who has a sweet banshee and he put 110-114 octane in his bike with castor oil and now it wont idle. it ran fine before he put the race gas in it with 93 octane and the castor oil. do you guys think its from the gas or maybe something else? thanks
  4. i got some shearers i'd be willing to barter. what are your pipes, low to mid or mid to high?
  5. still got em....i got some shearers id be willing to barter
  6. im willing to trade my small bore in frames. let me know exactly what you have, the condition, and they HAVE to be low to mid pipes
  7. i will within the next few days. its at my dads in the garage. i know it sounds bogus but the bikes a beast. it was mainly used for circle track but it was geared way towards top end at the time of dyno. i'm in the process of gearing it down right now because its not even usable power...lol. i'm taking off the shearers and putting on fmf's or cpi's. i'm putting a 42 tooth on the rear, and i'm thinking about changing my reeds
  8. also, the bike didn't spin the 22'' tires, it spun the 18" itp tires i had on it before.
  9. i have the dyno sheet from when i bought the bike. The bike was run on a dyno and hit 85.3 hp at 133 in 6th gear. i've never actually had the bike past 4th gear. its just too fast for me. i got rid of my gixxer sixxer for this bike and its absolutely faster than my suzuki was.
  10. heres some pics for y'all...lol
  11. i never thought of that, i'm gonna rip it apart tomorrow and find out for sure
  12. awsome dude thanks man for the help. yea we were out at the rumble on the ridge over the weekend. i came up a hill and the bike didn't move with the throttle pegged. the bike runs but no matter what gear the bike is in (1st 2nd 3rd whatever), the bike rolls freely. if i pull the clutch in there is pressure and it moves the lever to the left of the bike by the shift lever. i opened up the case while pulling the clutch and the basket doesn't move. the clutch has to be shot
  13. I kind of worded that incorrectly, the bike will go into gear but it just rolls...i am so stumped on what could be wrong
  14. can you explain what exactly it helps, im curious because i have to rebuild my clutch
  15. was out on the trails yesterday and the bike stopped moving. engine runs but i think i smoked the clutch. the clutch will engage the pully by the shifter but i look into the case and the basket doesn't move. anyone got any ideas. i think i might have fused the plates together...oops. the bike will roll freely in any gear, its almost like its stuck in neutral
  16. idk i really need low to mids cuz these shearers are too high of a powerband for trails
  17. are they low to mids or mids to highs
  18. the problem i got is that i think i welded the clutch plates together cuz it rolls in any gear but the clutch doesn't engage the basket
  19. i have passions 12 port drag motor
  20. Looking to trade my small bore in frame shearer pipes for low to mid pipes. thanks and let me know what you have
  21. Hey all, just wondering where to get a good 100hp clutch. i got a 99 shee thats pushing 85 hp and dont wanna use a stock one...it wont last long lol. thanks for the help!
  22. Hello, I've been passed down the insane machine known to all as madmax44's banshee. I bought the bike not too long ago but it is absolutely too fast for what i do! The bike has been built by jim at passion racing and has well over $13,000 invested into it. The frame and the A-arms of the bike are the only parts that are original which are from a 1999 Yamaha Banshee, but EVERYTHING else has been upgraded. The motor has been professionally built by Passion Racing with their 12 port drag motor, NOSS performance heads, aftermarket domes, Keihin PWK 35mm carbs, V-force reeds, SHEARER small bore in-frame drag pipes with BRAND NEW o-rings, extended chrome swing arm, front and rear wheel spacers, I know it has a bigger axle but i can't remember if its +2 or +4 ( the rear end is 50" without the spacers and 52" with the spacers), EVERY reservoir cap has been changed, BRAND NEW front and rear brakes, ITP front and rear wheels and tires, the rear wheels are bead locks (too much torque, without beadlocks the tires spin on the rims), the bike has been dyno tuned and tested at 85 hp at 133 mph. I myself have never even seen 5th or 6th gear, this bike is insane. There is way more stuff on this bike there's just way too much to list!!! the only bad part is the bike needs a clutch but i might replace it or deduct it from the price if anyone buys it! call me at 330-842-0919 or email at [email protected] located in Streetsboro, Ohio
  23. awsome dude thank you! i've been looking for the size for like 2 weeks lol. Really appreciate it
  24. awsome thank you! but how about the springs? should i just take them off and measure them from end to end and match em with others?
