  1. So should I take the carbs out and just drain them, carb clean them and stick them back in and you think it will be good to go, im trying to sell it so the sooner the better.
  2. I have noticed throughout the summer every now and again my throttle would stick and she would rev like crazy until I shut her down. It wouldnt do it very often and then work itself out. Now its much worse I went for a ride a few weeks back and it was working great had to go through a couple minor puddles on the trail and as soon as it got wet and was sticking like crazy every 2 secs it would start screaming i tapped the carbs and it would idle down.....once it dryed and we hit some good trails again the bike worked great. Then yesterday I started the bike and as soon as I went to ride it it started doing it again so i tapped the carb and it idle's down but as soon as i went to drive same thing....Last time I cleaned the carbs was early spring so I realize something is sticking in there.....anyone want to chime in to tell me what to look for. Thanks Mark
  3. Im leaning towards thinking its an air leak as well. Hopefully not crank seals. Also The bike has reed spacers, what is the purpose of these? And The filter is a durablue cone foam one, still inside the airbox with the lid on.
  4. bump anyone else have any input??
  5. When I did check the plugs there were okay brownish, Im not sure how to tell which series of pipes they say Gold Series FMF, Im pretyt sure if i remeber right the filter is a durablue??it was jsut cleaned and oiled as well any ideas on which jets I should be running?? Could having the carbs synced help?
  6. Ever since I got this Banshee (last month) i havent got it to work right. It was low on compression so I had the Top end rebuilt bored 30 over with wiseco pro-lites. The bike Has FMF pipes, Im pretty sure the reeds in it are Boyeson's, boost bottle, as for carbs the main is 250, pilot 25,clip is in 3rd groove. Now for problems. Im still breaking it back in but I still notice the same problems already. Around little fields and yards where you only have enough room to get into 4th gear it works great. When I get beyond that in 5th or 6th its boggy like no power......and then quite often if I get it rippin and goto slow down the bike wont idle down it sits there and revs real high I have even had to shut it off a few times just to get the rpms to come down. Any ideas guys its really starting to piss me off
  7. oh ya compression is bad its only at 75psi What do these run normally like 120-130??
  8. Alrighty Ill try that and get back to use
  9. I dont have a compression tester, ill have to pick one up. As for mods It only has FMF gold series pipes and boost bottle. The guy bought it off said it was jetted accordingly when piped Ill have to double check them though and see what size they are, the connector tube is on the carbs, just cleaned the carbs and put new plugs in. Also the reason I did the carbs first was once I noticed the bogging when I got back to my place and shut the bike off fuel was pissin out the overflow now it hasnt pissed out the overflow after trying again lastnight but I didnt go very far once realizing the problem wasnt fixed.
  10. So I just bought my first Banshee last week and Im having a few issues that Im hoping you guys can help me out with. First the bike takes forever to kickover when its cold most of the time I just bump it.....once its warmed up it starts first kick no problem. Next when I rip around my yard it works mint, but when its gets totally warmed up and I take it down a trail or road 5 th and 6th gear it bogs down like there is no power I have to gear down to get back up to speed, but when It comes to just first few gears rips mint?? I took the carbs off and cleaned them thoroughly, put new plugs in......any ideas fellas?? Thanks Mark
