  1. With the 350's i was getting the plug to darken up, but when i changed the plugs and ran a check, they never turned color, but i didn't chop them and see what was down below. I just pulled the plug and figured it was white and lean. How long do you need to ride on new plugs for them to darken up to the top, if i dont do a chop?
  2. What is the best way to do a plug check. Should i do a plug check with a new plug, or one that has already darkend up. What is the best way to check for an air leak.
  3. I cant get my plugs to darken up. I have dmc aliens, k&n pro flow with no lid, stock needle center clip, 30 pilots but i think i'm one size too rich, 350 mains. I'm at 2000 ft but i need it a little rich for my dunes trip next weekend. I have been climbing on my main but i cant get it to richen up. Do i keep going or does it sound like something else might be wrong. Comparing to the main jet forum it seems like i'm too far but still lean. Everything else on the quad is stock.

  5. You guys talk alot about jets but nothing about needles or jet kits. Who's jets are you using, who's needle are you using, and how big or small is the needle. I hear and see too much talk about jet sizes and it gets a beginner like me nowhere. My problem right now with my new mods i dont think has anything to do with my jet size. I think it is in my needle. I am understood that the size of the needle has part to do with just about everything. If you disagree let me know.
  6. Hey guys i am sure these questions have been answered but i am horrible at looking stuff up, been looking for hours. I just put new DMC alien exaust, and a pro power pack kit which includes dyno jet stage 3, pro design airbox modification, and k&n. I am running 280 main, stock pilot, and 4th clip on my needle which was by the jet kit. My first question is about carb sync and air fuel screws. A couple guys are telling me i can sync by ear and by checking both slide movments. I went over that and it looked good. I have been trying to adjust the air fuel screws but i cant hardly hear it, i think that is just me though. Are they suppossed to be the same amount of turns out or how far off could they be and still be normal. I ran it down the street and back and it has a hesitation off the throttle to pinned at lower rpm's. I am running at 60 degrees at 2000 ft but i need it to be set up to run safe at sea level at oregon dunes, but at home i run at around 4000ft with 50-80 degrees. The plug looks like i am running on the rich side. My banshee is totally stock other than what i have just done. Everything is fresh because the quad itself only has 30-40 total miles. Any help would be great to get me in the right direction. I am working on the pictures because i am sure you guys want to see what a brand new banshee looks like.
  7. Perfect, Thank You
  8. I'm getting dmc exhaust, totally stock shee, and i need to know what filter and fiter system to go with, also what jet kit to get. Where do i start at sea level and where do i start when i ride at 4000-6000?
  9. I am totally stock and almost brand new. I am going to buy DMC alien exhaust and i hear way to many ideas on what to do. I would love to leave my lid on to keep it clean, but i dont want to loose that much power. I need to get a set up for two different areas. First, sea level, 50-80 degrees, 155 lbs, dunes. Second at home, 4000-6000, 50-80 degrees. Any help would be great.
