  1. Be careful with the air grinder, i used that and hot plastic flying at you doesn't feel good. I ended up just heating up a knife for the rough cut, then used a file to grind down the pretty noticeable blemishes, then a sander to make it perfect. Once I was done I used a torch to give the edges the soft feel
  2. this is just the rough cut, still not finished smoothing the edges, but what do you guys think?
  3. i actually had your previous sig pic saved on my computer cuz i liked your bike so much
  4. i finally manned up and chopped one side today. I would have done both but not enough sunlight after school to get too much done. i also put some new lights on and the a arm skid plates
  5. Oh yeah, I did. Thanks. I'm still a little hesitant because i don't know exactly how I want to cut them and I'm scared I'm going to f**k it up.
  6. what's the design on yours? Your bike is freaking badass!!
  7. So I've finally decided that I want to trim the front fenders on my shee. I know there are different spots from where you can cut the fenders to give a different look. Can anyone post pictures of their bikes? I also need help on actually how to go about cutting them. What tools what I use, etc.
  8. oh and my headlights are terrible. ive seen some lazer star headlights and they seem pretty sick. I like the small, low profile style. Ive read that you would need to replace the stator and dc conversion for hids. So i was considering some leds cuz they are really bright and i dont need to be seeing too far ahead of me in the dark. Any recommendations on lights?
  9. i have a couple more questions. My shocks look ugly and dont work very well anymore. I have a kawasaki kfx 700 sitting around and i was wondering if i could just swap the shocks. They are quite a bit longer but if they are compressed quite a bit they should be able to fit right?
  10. Maintenance-wise the shee is fine, ive replaces chain recently, sprocket, suspension, brakes all seem to be performing fine. I'd say I'm somewhat mechanically savvy and maintenance hasnt been a problem. When i stated parts where on their deathbed, i meant in terms of aesthetics. I ride in the desert and the occasional dune so ive considered cutting the fenders. i have a k&n filter already, but haven't wanted to remove box yet cuz i want to get pipes before i rejet. I dont understand what you mean by flywheel puller and small rat tail file. Can you leave some instructions on how to do some of this stuff please?
  11. any idea on what tools i would need to port the reeds or adjusting timing? cuz my dad is an automotive mechanic but im guessing those would probably be special ordered tools??
  12. thanks for the suggestions guys. I've been wanting to trim the fenders but I'm not exactly sure what to use to cut them.... ive also considered getting pipes but i want some t5's but they are expensive.
  13. I was just wondering if you guys had any suggestions on how i could make my shee look a little bit better. the decals/graphics shown in the pictures have since fallen off on many of the motor/exhaust accessories are on their deathbed. Keep in mind im kind of on a tight budget. 17 years old and only make like $400/month. have like 500 saved.
  14. I need the front right bracket that holds the fender to the frame. If you don't want to sell the bracket as an individual I'm willing to buy the pair but it has to be cheap...
  15. Couldn't really afford that being only 15, so I just had my brother take me to autozone and buy glossy black rustoleum spray paint. It turned out pretty noice. I'll post some pics.
  16. alright thanks both of you and your bike is sick
  17. thanks. do you think they would be a good buy for a stock banshee?
  18. Just wondering what pipes these are. they are on craigslist for $150 and im considering buying them.
