ported cylinders, t-5s, 20cc domes, +4 timing, vforce 3, and k&n pods. stock carbs with 330 mains, toomey needles on the 3rd out of 6 from the top and 27.5 pilots. It has some hesitation between 1/4 and 1/2 throttle, and once it hits powerband it flys. what do you guys suggest. And the hesitation in mid wasnt there with stock pilots

162, 55, middle spot, and air screw out 1 turn. Just set one of these up at 1800 feet and it runs perfect.

performance is about the same, toomeys look better

banshe blew up right piston on second ride
rappy660 replied to rappy660's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
the compression was 150PSI. The float height was at what the manual says it should . Like i said the other plug was burning perfect with the 310's after checking it after climbing. -

think i figured it out. i never took the little plastic things out of the carb. could they have restricted the fuel flow? -
just rebuilt, bored .20 over, t-5s, 20cc domes, ported, advanced +4 timing, v-force 3's and K&N pods. Stock carbs with 310 mains. Took it out saturday to break in, everything went well, plugs were good color. On sunday went hill climbing. It idled fine so i do not think there was any air leaks. The hill climb was about a 20 second long climb at full throttle. 3 or 4 time it would fall out of powerband near the top. Not thinking anything at the time, i thought i was running out of power, but now i believe i was running out of gas on the right cylinder, causeing it to die out, and after 4 times of this happening it burnt a hole in the piston. Here is a video of it doing it. Im the yellow banshee around 1:30 that dies out. http://www.hillclimbersforum.com/showthread.php?p=58633#post58633 Let me no if anyone has any idea what can be causing it to runout of gas. The floats seem fine as well

Wheel Spacers, Shift Pro kit and Shift Star
rappy660 replied to Alex29573's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
could you send me a pic of the wheel spacers please. Are they the screw on ones or the studs that go through the metal spacer -
they are vitos cylinders, drag port that comes from them, and triple exhaust porting. Going to do a +4 timing.

hi guys, im doing a big bore 68mm bore. What cc domes should i run in order to get the highest compression on pump gas? I no i need big bore domes with a 9 degree angle
-
any help please
-
Hi guys im building a 421 motor, 4 mil crank and 68mm vitos cylinders with drag port. Have pro circuits, k&n pods, and v force 3's and 20cc domes. What size carbs would everyone suggest running with this.
-
yea mine dont wanna start. I only took one carb apart at a time when i got the bike, so i didnt mess them up, but i dont no if the kid i bought it off of may have
-
hey which bowl is the starter jet supposed to be in, foot brake or shifter side Thanks
-
im setting the bike up for summer tho, the only reason i was starting it was to heat cycle it a couple more times. Dont wanna change stuff up if it will work for the warmer temps tho
-
icic, do you think the 25's will be fine once it gets warmer tho. Thats what everyone around my area runs for the summer

i have a 94 banshee, just rebuilt, coolhead with 20cc domes, +4 timing, ported, stock carbs. Sitting in a 40 degree garage the bike does not want to start. After a couple kicks it will start, run a couple seconds and die. After like doing this about 10-15 times it will finally start and idle. The elevation is 1800 feet. I set the carbs up like my buddies with close to the same engine set up, but they only run theres in the summer when it is near 70 or more out. i have 310 mains, 4 clip down on needle, stock pilots, and 2 turns out. Does anyone have any ideas why it doesnt want to start. Do you think its just because of the could weather. Once the bike is running for a little, it will fire up 1st kick, and runs perfectly smooth. Any help will be greatly appreaciated. BTW as you can tell from the name "Rappy660", i just switched over to banshee's so i dont no allot about them
-
yea i was dumb enough to buy them for that ridiculous price, and then get them expecting good shocks, and the one bushing was falling out, and the paint looked like shit.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-Banshee-dual-rate-WORKS-aftermarket-shocks-87-06_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem439d801fe1QQitemZ290405228513QQptZMotorsQ5fATVQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories these are the ones i bought and sent back that were junk, the guy is trying to resell them. Anyone who are members of other forums, please repost this on them, i dont wanna see someone else get screwed like i did. The powdercoating looks like shit on the opposite side not shown in the picture, and it has a bad bushing.
