I agree with you on some points but you did not take into account that you must also use tranny fluid in a two stroke, top ends do go out more frequently than valves do ( I have a 225dx that has had no engine work done to it in its entire 24 years of existance and I think its had the oil changed like 15 times.) You must also take into account the engine bore and hone as well as the piston/rings oh and I have gone through alot of crank bearings on my old YZ I hear alot of other people going through crank bearings as well so it can't be just me. So bassically a two stroke is more costly to maintain but cheaper to mod. And a four stroke will usually last longer but is usually less fun to ride (my oppinion). I appologize for punctuation and grammatical errors I am tired.

I remember when I was younger my neighbors had similar problems they used to complain about. I guess what I am getting at is check to see if it is being siphoned out.

You could ride all day and not run out of trails, there are hills, swamps and pits as well camping is primitive but I may bring a generator I am trying to get as many people together as possible maybe shoot some vids aswell. I am looking forward to camping this year I heard they are adding a scramble area soon.

I think we have lost sight of the topic here, this guy claims his tecate to be a shee killer, well I had a worked over tri-z that would eat alot of piped shees so I think this guys tecate would kill a shee. Granted it may not kill a full blown race shee but I bet it would stomp mine into the mud and last time I checked mine was a shee.

I am assuming that you run a full 10 point roll cage and 5 point saftey harness on your shee right angel? Because if not then what is protecting you in a roll over? Until you post a pic of your shee running one of those babies I think you should drop the whole no bumper subject right? :biggrin:

I had the shee for a short period but I have put her through hell in that short period I am surprised it held that long. When I go riding I bring a two liter of gas 4 plugs electrical tape and a master link and tools and tire plugs.

Only thing I regret is not being old enough to race ama on trikes. Alot of people are uninterested in trikes but I have had some bad ass three wheelers and you can have just as much fun on a trike as you can a quad. I fucking hate stupid people. I tore my quad apart (plastics off, tank off, radiator off, pipes off, carbs off) and guess what I found? Some dumbshit must have stalled out on the trail and did a "quick fix" Because I cannot see the yamaha corp. wrapping what appears to be greenapple bubble gum around the black wire that goes into the coil. I am dead fucking serious they had the wire held on with gum. Needless to say I have spark now but I have to put a real crimp connector on it. Also they have the tether kill ran to the coil wire and black taped on? Is this right? If so I am going to put a connector on that aswell. I swear if my camera worked right now I would take pics

Ok I was riding my quad today (bent handlebars and all) and it was running great I put the 300 mains in it and it was still bogging a little at 1/4 throttle. I started hitting some snow drifts and then I hit one a little too fast and jumped it maybe 4 ft high, (shocks didn't even bottom out) then all of a sudden my quad just stalled out, I checked the plugs and one looked a little lean (light tan) the other was a little rich (dark brown) I checked for spark and none. I am stumped any ideas? Do tether kills ever go faulty? I have the pro armor one.
