  1. Pilot wasn't clogged, but i did notice the gas was down below a quarter of a tank. So I switched the petcock on and gas barely trickled out of the choke side line. So could it be there isn't enough pressure pushing the fuel down to be picked up on that side? It just doesnt make sense why the gas would flow fine to the right side but not the left.
  2. ok, relative to where the main jet is, where is it? i removed the float bowls and all that and saw nothing to be removed by a flat head. And the pilot jet would cause the cylinder to not run at all? I would've thought it would still run just off the gas it got through the main even if it was rough.
  3. Cleaned them all today. Totally broke down the carb and cleaned it took the main out. Needle looks good. Took out the air adjust. Which one is the pilot jet though? There's only one jet in the carb bowl to take out and thats the main.. right?
  4. yes... slides are in right... no vac leaks
  5. Choke side cylinder will not fire. I have spark, fuel and air. There's no amount of adjusting to the carb i can do to get to sputter. I do have compression. What the hecks going on?
  6. Do you think that would help with the left side spurting?
  7. Another side note, its firing on the right side is kinda hit and miss and there's not as much compression coming out of the right side pipe compared to the left.
  8. Yeah, the left side is facing left and the right side is facing right. It does move but I have it screwed all the way in now and there is still barely any gap at the bottom of the carb.
  9. how can i tell if the adjust touches the slide? I slid my hand in the carb and the slide has hardly any gap between the bottom of the slide and the bottom of the carb. I ground down the pilot hole to 3/4" just like i was told.
  10. Just installed the tors removal kit, have the idle screws installed. Also swapped out the jets with a dynojet kit. She wont idle and i have no low end power. Im thinking that I didnt grind off enough of the pilot hole for the idle screw and thats why I cant sync up the carbs and have her idle. what do you guys think?
  11. Dead on with the wiring harness melting to the exhaust. I wish I would've checked that before taking off the coil and coming back to find the dog tearing the caps off the wires. Cant you just buy new spark plug caps without having to buy a new set of coil and wires?
  12. Re-jetted my banshee the other day, didn't sync up the carbs like a genius... Jumped on her today and noticed I was getting any power. Left side cylinder wasn't firing, more than likely due to not having my carbs synced. Anyways, not too long into riding, shee died. Couldn't turn her back over. Pushed her into the garage and checked for spark and I have nothing. Don't know if the coil went bad or cdi box or had a malfunction in one of the switches. I know its not the plugs b/c I did a test with a screw driver and a chassis ground and still had nothing. Where do I go now?
  13. Thinking about doing a headlight conversion from the regular round spotlights to the raptor eye lights. Im also thinking about going with the maier custom fender set in black and finishing it off with black wheels with yellow hubs and yellow decals. Has anyone tried the headlight conversion though? I know how to re-wire everything, I just wanted some opinions on how you think it would turn out.
