ok guys here is what i have done so far -replaced stator-new -replaced coil-new replaced CDI -new -tested kill switch -tested pick up coil -eliminated key switch -and eliminated the TORS I have done all the tests that I was told to do,and it all tested OK Everything was running fine, until I tried to turn it off by the key and it did not turn off. turned it off with the kill switch and it would not start again. but if I bump start it, it will run. ps. it has low compression - could that be affecting my spark??? thanks jeff

thanks for the info ,!!!just finisned,will check in the AM its -27 here to night,to freaking cold to work to work in a shed with no HEAT thanks again

i order the wrong year CDI,!!! the OLD one has the square plugs,and the NEW one has the round plugs,can this be rewired just by cutting the OLD plugs off and soidering them to the NEW CDI?????Hoping someone has come across this screw up before!Thanks from Canada

just retested RED & GREEN tested at 16.2 RED\WHITE & GREEN\ WHITE tested at 100.9 still no spark!!!! maybe CDI how would i test the CDI

i used the single yellow and the single black wire that leads to the stator

just tested my stator with my new muiltmeter and it said 0.8 can this be rite or did i read it wrong,what should it read,i think i had it on the right setting

just did a compression test on the shee,came up at 60 lbs both cyclinders.why would i get the same 60 lbs on both?should they be a little difference?could i have blowen a gasket?? plus i still have no spark!!!!!!!

just did a compression test ,only got 60 lbs each cyclinder with throttle wide open,how much is a top end rebuild cost?do not know much about this banshee ,just bought it last week,road for about 2hours,now this .Tell me ,with low compression is this why i have no spark,the shee does have twim FMF fatties,that all i know right now

yes i have a compression tester ,how many LBS should read
