  1. FINALLY! It was the coil. Swapped it out with my buddies and it worked fine. Going to order a new one. Thanks for all the info guys.
  2. Alright guys. I just bought this banshee a few months ago. It bogs as soon as you punch it. Runs fine at idle and all the way through until you floor it. Looked as if it was rich. Was running 280 jets in the main. The wierd thing is it ran fine for about 15 minutes when I bought it. Has fmf pipe and an unifilter and a milled head. Tried running with the lid on and off. First I went to 300 jets just to see what it did. Got worse. I dropped jet sizes and am now down to 240 jet which I know is too low. Still bogs just as bad so I dont think its fuel anymore.Changed plugs several times and to me they still look rich. I dont think its burning it good. It does bang a little but bogs bad. I just did a compression check and one is 155 and the other is 135. Does it need a new top end or should I start looking at firing issues?
  3. No good. Still running like crap. Also noticed the carb slides were backwards. Switched them around. Bogs at full throttle. Runs fine all the way up until full throttle. Tried putting 300 main jets in it after raised the needle and it didnt help. Is 280 too rich?

  5. My needle is set on the second from bottom. I just bought this banshee an it will foul plugs in about 30 minutes of riding. Plugs are black. It has 280 mains in it right now. Im at 500ft elevation. Bike has fmf pipes, unifilter and milled head. This sucker has been nothing but problems since I've had it. Driving me nuts!!!!! Kind of lost guys. It runs fine cruising around but after just a few minutes or less it bogs at wide open throttle. I think it is rich. Anybody got any info?
  6. I have Br9es plugs in my banshee. I run 93 octane gas. The guy at the autoparts said thats what hisbook called for.I seen another post on here where it said these plugs were for alcohol. The banshee is banging and backfiring now when I punch the throttle. It didnt do it the first couple minutes when i first put the plugs in but it is now. May be running a little lean also but it has been running alright. Plugs dont look bad. I put a throttle cable on and changed plugs at same time. Running 280 main jets at 550ft elevation. Have fmfpipes, unifilter, and a milled head to 21cc. Also what crank case oil do yall run?
  7. I think so. It is the deal on top of the carb that has the two wires with a plug coming out of it.
  8. When I unplug the tors the banshee will not idle. Is this normal? Also wheredoIget the tors eliminator and is it easy to fix. Thanks guys.
  9. I noticed it did not have the locking nuts on the adjusters. I put some on but have not rode it yet. Also at the top bolt and nut it does look a little wallered out. Thanks for the info guys. I'll let you know how it does this weekend.
  10. Just bought a banshee a few weeks ago. Having isuues with rear end going crooked. I can tighten the chain, ride it down the street and it goes crooked. Chain gets loose. Is the top part where the rear end bolt to the swing arm suppose to move when the rear end is loose? This is the first Banshee I have bought so I am trying to figure some of this stuff out. This is a 2000 model. I can ge pics if it would help. Thanks guys.
  11. I bought a stock banshee this past weekend. Got a few go fast goodies and am in the process of installing them. FMF pipes, aftermarket air filter assembly, and the having the head milled to around 21cc. What jet about should I run. Im in Dallas TX. About 500ft elevation. Was also going to bump timing to +4 but flywheel will not come off for nothing. Already broke flywheel puller once. So I wont be doing that until something breaks and I have to get it off. Thanks guys. Also can I getthe jets from a Yamaha dealer?
  12. Help guys???? Flywheel will not come off. Already stripped flywheel puller threads. Have a flywheel puller for a lawnmower on there right now. This thing will not budge. Looks a little rusted behind flywheel. Sprayed lubricate and going to let it sit overnight. Any ideas guys?
