  1. Remember i just purchased this machine only a few weeks ago and its never really ran right, thats why i only gave 500.00 for it. Problem solved: The problem turned out to be multiple problems. 1st i had a faulty plug (poor spark), 2nd the float on the carb wash not closing all the way causing it to constantly pour gas into the carb, 3rd the throttle valves were mixed up and way out of sync. So i took care of those issues and synced the carbs and she ran perfect. WOW what a lesson. Thanks for all your suggestions and advice. Tim

  4. Hi, I just purchased a new Ricky Stator with an adjustable timing plate. RS says to put the timing on 0, Others on this forum say to put it on +5. Where should I put the timing and why? This is a stock 1988 Banshee 350. I'm new to the Banshee and engine repair world. Thanks, Tim
  5. Hi All, Machine was running great and the stator went out about a week ago, I installed a new ricky stator fired up machine (2nd kick) and noticed machine was only running on 1 cylinder, blowing white smoke and oil out of exhaust on dead cylinder. I checked and cleaned plugs verified spark on both cylinders (both good), Ckecked compression, 110psi on both cylinders. Checked air/mixture screw (2 turns). So I'm guessing its either a broken reed or carburator, I'll check those tomorrow. Any other thoughts or ideas would be great. Thanks, Tim
