brand new plugs and brand new reeds. i have pulled the plugs and they are wet. i know the problem is lack of fuel but i just cant seem to figure it out.

hey there im looking for help on why my 2004 banshee will not start it will fire and then die, i can kick till im blue in the face and it wont start, i have to jump it which is a pain in the ass. its not to far off stock has your usual bolt on mods with a shaved head and .40 over bore. i was having trouble gettin it started awhile back, so i did a compression test. 96 psi in the left 102 in the right. so time for a re-build obviously. i bought a wiesco top end rebuild kit. i had it bored at .40 and shaved the head down .20. after i put it back together i did another compression test and the compression is right where it should be so it seemed to start fine now, or at least i thought. after about 4 rides, it went back to this not starting non sense. i figured the problem had to be in those god aweful TORS, so i bought a motion pro TORS removal kit. after that instal, it made a big differnece in the starting. but the same thing happened again, after 4 or so rides, it suddenly wont fucking start again. by this point im ready to burn the thing to the ground. I havent even looked at the thing in over a month bcuz one of my friends was in a fatal atv crash. so tday i decided im goin to get it running right and sell it. Anyone that knows what is goin on with my quad please let me know, any information will be much appriciated. thanks alot. -Trent

mine had similar problems to that when i had the tors, i bought the eliminator kit and it seemed to solve the problem. the tors are nothing but problems anyways. they are garbage.

buy a thumb throttle eliminator kit then

alright thanks guys, im going to buy a cool head but the funds are tight right now, so i figure ill just get the head milled until i have the coin to purchase a cool head. thanks again

what are the advantages/disadvantages of a milled head? im about to do a rebuild on my bike and just wondering if its worth doing since i dont have a cool head and its already apart. thanks

i have an 04 banshee. I came to the conclusion that it needs a rebuild due to low compression. i talked with a couple friends regarding the boring process. They said boring a banshee isnt the same as boring a car/truck. they said it will need to nickel plated to reduce heat and friction, they also said if not nickel plated the top end will blow alot faster. just wondering if this is true or false info. any info is much appriaciated, thanks alot -Trent

i checked the compression today and it was 102 in the left side and 98 in the right side. and if im right stock compression is 130psi each cylinder so i guess im looking at a rebuild. thanks alot guys.

my banshee will not start by kicking it over, i can kick it over until im blue in the face and it will not start, but if i tow it and jump start it, it will fire up and run all day. as soon as it starts and warms up it will start first kick everytime. it has brand new plugs, i cleaned the carbs and air filter and it still wont kick start while its cold. any ideas or sugestions on how to fix this problem. any feedback is much apprieciated. thanks
