Passion RZ 12port 4mm top end
dirtdragguy replied to fastrthnu's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
You have a pm -
I have never seen a tach on a drag banshee, plenty on snowmo powered drag bikes. I have done a shift light before to e.t race. It works well but I had a dynatec programmable cdi. I just used one of the rpm triggered switch to a l.e.d on the handle bar. Then I used the launch limiter to leave the same every time used the light with an air shifter to shift the same & it worked real well. It wasn't fast, I would leave soft & short shift just to make sure it wouldn't spin.

Not trying to be a jerk, but you have came to the wrong place to ask this!! But their are some large rappy's out their. I have a 727 rappy myself & that's little. they go bout 105 or 106mm bore & the sky is the limit on stroke. The 660 runs into issues with cases at the 100 h.p. mark, that is the rumor. Bob Craycraft is the man on a 660 or Tim Barker or Geisk performance & Coal shed racing all are great people. In my opinion stay away from Four stroke tech. The 700 engine is the hot ticket now "team rocket factory" has a monster kit for it with about a one inch thick cylinder spacer plate. If I remember right it's in the 900 plus cc range. Hope this helped a little. Just stick with a banshee a middle size cub will "rape" a big four stroke. Two strokes don't drop the high dollar valves either. LOL

Good evening & thanks for looking, I was wondering if anyone would share where they have their rezzies mounted on a stock frame. Their seems to be no good place to mount them with T-5's on the bike. Thanks in advance!

Black Mountain Off Road Adventure Park
dirtdragguy replied to messer007's topic in Riding and Events Forum
I would be up for a trip their. I am a member of the Harlen county ridge runners forum & go to all the club events. They have really good trophies & stuff do to they have a good hook up with ATVdirect.com. Back to the answers, the powers that be only allow atv's on the road inside the city limits of Everts & the state police are in a pissing match with the locals right now so if they catch you outside the city limits they will burn your ass down! & NO to drag racing! they don't allow side by side racing even at the events area or "verda field" as it is know due to insurance issues. Also that spelling is correct it a place not a color LOL! Just yell when the date is set it would be great to ride with sport type bikes up their. I have always been the odd guy riding a raptor & everyone else riding utilities. When & if we get a date nailed down I can get hold of the club president & the club will hook you up with a guide for rides. -

The seat let say $30 the set of Fmf gold series with silencers $120 the 2 into 1 pipe and silencer $120 What about $150 for the whole front end with brake calipers but their not in the pix they will be included. Their is also a yellow tank cover & grill $30 & the black set $25 thanks for looking

I have a set of A&S 4mill stock cylinders & they are bad ass! They look it to full polished & had the transfers cut out then welded up smooth. Wasn't that bad to get down but he might have been broke that week LOL. I have a Tyson 10 mill also they are good peeps.

I need some help, I got an aftermarket 2 over front end in a bunch of parts I acquired a while back. Well I tore it all a part & sent the arms with a frame to be powder coated. Got the arms back they look great! Went right on the bike no problem. The problem is it's a tantrum front end, least that is what it said on it. Can't find anything with google bout it. The ball joint / automotive tie rod ends are junk. I went to my local auto zone & showed them to the clerk & I should have showed him a nuclear reactor part. If the computer don't tell him what it is he ain't got a clue. Just kept asking me why an atv would have tie rods that big? Does anybody now off the top of the their head what would be close. As like what maybe what other companies have used? Thanks in advance. Oh yeah sorry if the grammar sucks I'm drunk.

steering stem bearing replacement

It all came pretty much with little drama. But most stuff won't stick with 1000 ft. lbs. of torque LOL. Thanks to everybody for the help. -
steering stem bearing replacement
dirtdragguy replied to dirtdragguy's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
The hex is 30mm in the retainer. I got a bolt & welded a nut on it but didn't have an impact big enough to break it. I will bring my big gun from work home & something will happen good or bad. The bearing was junk by the time it started moving it was ruff. But what I couldn't believe was my local dealer didn't know how to even get the damn thing out. The service manual is not very descriptive also. Thanks for all the help!!! -
Just like the title said, I had my frame blasted & powder coated & like a dumb-ass forgot to plug the bearing for the stem. I have never had to replace one of these except on a Polaris. The local dealer is total useless!!! Any help would be really appreciated.

I was thinking about the Maier fake carbon fiber tank & rad. cover on stock front fenders. Has any tried mixing these parts? I did a similar deal on my sister in laws 400ex & had trouble with the aftermarket parts holes not being in the right place. So I wanted to ask before I buy this junk & have zip ties holding it together & getting pissed off. Thanks in advance !!!

Thanks for the reply. I went to look for my post & couldn't find it. I don't know why it ended up in suspension, but what the heck! LOL Thanks again! I had asked him to measure them but I was thinking dial caliper, ended up with tape measure.

I have buddy on another site that is going to give me a set of 4mm. stroker cut domes but their for a Mod quad head & I have a pro design head. I don't want to pay to ship something across the country that I can't use & he could sell them himself. So if someone can tell me they would work I would appreciate it greatly!

Thanks for all the replies! What does the port duration need to be for a 4 mill. I have not ever messed with a 4 mill. I have put plenty of engines together but I have not "built" any from scratch so the port timing I can check but then past that it will be going to some body. This is a stock class bike that is all it is. The rules are simple 4mill stroke max, stock cylinders ,stock cases ,stock frame on gas with no power adders. Cut trannies are o.k. & out of frame pipes are o.k. & aftermarket heads are o.k. It's a budget type class but every time I have ever been around budget limited class racing it turns into throwing bunches of money at stuff for all the high dollar "stealth" junk on engines. I will be happy if I can get my spare parts to run well & do it my self & win that would be very satisfying

Just like the title says I'm building a stock class drag bike for this year. I bought a guy out a few mouths back that had quit racing. Was going threw all the stuff & I have a set of cases a 4mill 115 rod crank a set off 34 pk pro design head a stock tranny a bunch of domes & a 2mill spacer plate & a set of good looking drag ported stock cylinders but the right on has threw a rod & broke the ear off of the sleeve. The cylinders are at the machine shop being honed & the other is being re sleeved oh yeah their at 66mm right now. The help I needs is what do I need to get or is this a good set up I have not messed with stock cylinders much. I just sell them & buy cubs. LOL but thanks for all your help in advance!

Do you just scuff it with 180grit or just knock the shine off or really get on it?

I am about to paint my first set of stock plastic & was wondering the same thing! What is everyone having luck with on painting the plastic & not cracking the first time it flexes

Hey I am a hillbilly & don't ride a p.o.s. zillia! Their are some of those junk ass thing around this area. The three of them can't keep the junk running long enough to ever race each other. They have to let them race in the 401 to 500 cc four choke class and still lose! But this jerk keeps talking shit bout how great they are! How stock to stock they keep beating a banshee. Well I damn well hope so since they were designed years after the banshee. & the engine is like what 15 years newer than the Yamaha. Hell how far back in the 70's did Yamaha have it in the street bikes. With that said I hope if they were sitting at the design board with the banshee in mind that they could design something that would beat it. But I have not ever seen a stock zilla or even a built zilla with N.O.S that would beat my stock frame 4mill cub that is around here. I know this guy is going to come back with some really great comment bout how I am not as intelligent as he is and that his nuclear powered zilla will rule the world or something like that. Oh yeah, Merry Christmas to all even to the rude ass guy with the zilla!
