  1. The limmtted mass shocks have preload adjustment just like other high quality aftermarket shocks. There should be a collar with a c-clip inside it holding pressure on the top of the upper spring. You will lift your front end off the ground and push down on that collar to compress the spring which will expose the c-clip. Its much easier with 2 ppl.

Got ya, I see it now. Now the issue is I cant compress the spring to expose the c-clip to make the adjustment

  2. I have set of triple rate PEP front shocks on my quad (LTD mass I believe). Not to familiar with working on shocks and I have a muddy race coming up and would like to set my ride height (Preload) a little higher. How do you make this adjustment on these shocks? Thanks.

Only info I can find when searching is referring to the ZPS shock.

  3. My newest addition. Excited to use this for the season. Have always wanted an enclosed and picked one up for a good deal. Beats loading the quad in the back of the truck and is gonna be nice to be able to get in out of the weather if it rains, etc.

  4. Cool pics. You had any mechanical issues during the races yet?

XC racing is very hard on a quad, so usually have issues after about ever race. Most are usually minor tho. Problems I have ran into so far this year are: Bent an upper a-arm in Round #1, In Round #2 I broke a clutch cable, finished off my rear brake pads, and finished off a tie-rod end that all have been replaced for Round #3. At the start of the season it isnt to bad because there is usually enough weeks between races to get things fixed between working. It gets a little busy during the summer when you have races every weekend. Mechanically as far as engine wise my quad is great since It was gone through over the winter.  My shocks do seem to be getting a little softer so I think this winter they are gonna be sent off for a rework but they are due for it anyhow.

  5.   :whoa: UNBELIEVABLE.  You are the OP of this whole post!  :jesterlaugh:

I had a date set…but YOU were the one who wanted to make THIS the weekend for the HQ ride.  Now you can't make it ???????? Plus you are grabbing CB6979 and taking him with you too ?

Well…….enjoy all the easter egg hunting. :shrugani: Try not to eat too many jelly beans.  :D

Sometime after the crisp morning air has warmed to a perfect temp for riding….after the big group of riders have lined machines up for photos….after the hours of good conversation throughout the day….after all the deer have been chased off the property….after marking the entire place with our tire tracks and left our 2-smoke sent on every surface….after I've topped off my tank for the last time….after the ride gear has been peeled off….after the machines are loaded….after the mud has dried….Sometime then…..after it's over….as I contemplate wrapping my worn out hands around a steering wheel and aiming the rig back towards home….as I stretch my legs and settle into the seat and allow my body a few moments rest and begin to reflect on the afterglow of a day well used ….before I turn a key and ask my V-8 to finish out the duty of getting us all home…..I will wonder….WTF could have been more important than being here?

There will be an answer that those who missed this ride will feel justifies not being in attendance... and THAT IS OK. Every man has his own path to walk…..but for those who came and rode……Only pity and face palms will be shared over those who did not.

Have a Happy Easter Weekend yawl.  ;)

    That was deep.....  :notworthy:

  7. I can run about 10 laps on a MX track on one tank which equals about 35 min of WFO.

Best thing to do would be to pit after 2 laps your first race to check your fuel level and then judge your future races off of that. On a 6 mile/lap course your lap times would be between 16-28 min or so depending on how tight the course is and how many times you get stuck in bottlenecks or stuck in general. I would check it after two laps and decide then if you can either make it the rest of the race (2-4 more laps) or not.
