Need help with hesitation. When I hit the gas the bike hesitates for a moment and then it takes off. Almost as if it were not getting enough gas fast enough. Has anyone had this problem. I have a 4 mil with a cub. 34 mil pj and I run 110 straight at 32 to 1. I also have a hemi head with 20 cc domes and a pingle. I'm in Arizona. Other than that I eat 4 stokes for appetizers. The problem occurs when I let go of the gas to shift gears while racing. Its like a 1 or 2 second delay.

I am thinking of heading down there. How strict are they with the spark arestors. The bikes here with the out of frames don't appear to have one. Any thoughts.

I am going to add my 2 cents since I had the same problem and I fixed it. The problem with the spark rattling out is an issue with the jetting. I have the same issue and the only way I have been able to fix it is by jetting it rich. Once I jet it rich the problem goes away. My current set up is as follows. 421 Cub, 20cc domes, +4 timing, Hemi Head, Pingle, 34MM Pjs. My Jetting is as follows 50 pilot, 165 mains, and DGK neddle. I use VP MS109 mixed 50/50 with 91 Pump. Note at 160 main the plugs come out when I place the engine on a load (dunes or drag). At 165 I have no issue. With this setup it boggs down a bit. I am thinking of changing the DGK needle to the CGL in order to lean it out at the 1/8 - 3/4 range to see what it does.

Hi Dave, I have a similar setup. Banshee 4 Mil cheetha 34M PJ's & 20 CC domes. I run it on VP MS109. In have been wrestling with this same issue for quite some time. Currently I run a 50 Pilot. 165 Main, and a DGK needle. In my experience anything less than a 165 main and the shee starts detonation which in turn pops the plugs. People tell me this is rich but again anything less than a 165 pops the plug at high RPM's. The only issue I have right now is that it is a bit to rich at 1/8 to 1/2. I think I need to go to a CGL needle which will lean it out a bit at the 1/8 to 3/4 range. Since I already have the needles I will pop them in to see what it does. Ill see how this works. Has anyone riden in Hassy at the spot were it meets with 60 going to wickenburg. It is about 40 miles north west of phoenix just past morristown. I looked at google earth and the area is sandy and the surrounding area is undeveloped. Looks like it could be a great alternate for the spot that got closed by mile marker 118. This area looks like its pretty far from any civilization that no one would bithch about the noice.

So I went to the WASH this weekend and I found out that the access to it was gated and locked. It appears someone bought the ajecent land and gated the road headed down there. Does anyone know any other way to get to it or are we pretty much screwed? Does anyone have any info?

Guys I saw the 1/8 mile drags and I just have to say what a Fag way to race ATV's. This things were meant for the dirt. Racing on assssphalt completely eliminates the unpredictability of the sand and rider experience. Thumbs down in my opinion.

So are you saying that it is normal for the YFZ to do that with no mods. If that is the case I should be able to smoke him.

I am going head to head with a buddy that has a YFZ 450 next weekend but I have a question. His pipe turns bright red right as it comes out of the engine. And I am talking Red. The dam thing looks like it is about to explode. What could have he had done so that it turns that way. I think either his fuel mixture is to rich or his timing is advanced to much. Any have any info on this. My bike is a banshee cheetah cub with a 4 mil, hemi head 20 cc domes and 34pjs on 50/50 VP MS109/91 pump.

Does anyone know if one can ride atv's over by the Mogollon Rim. This is east of Payson, AZ. My ATV is not street legal. Any feedback will greatly appreciated. I am headed down there this weekend.

Does anyone know where to find the instructions on how to install the Vito's Hemi Head. Specifically I am interested in where all the o-rings go. I know where the 4 major one go but the kit has a number of o-rings that I can't tell where they go. I am not sure if I am missing anything. Any help will be greatly appriciated.
