I was thinkin of goin to a noss head and was wondering what size dome i should get. stock stroke, 485ft, 93 octane, fresh bore, v force 3 reeds, trinity stage 4 pipes, +4 timing
i have a fresh .020 over bore with v force 3 reeds, trinity stage iv pipes, and a k&n bolt in filter kit w/no lid. Where would be a good place to start with jets (stock carbs)
I am still having problems with my 01 banshee. The compression is around 120 on both cylinders but the exhaust is cold on the right side. The engine runs like shit. also the exhaust on the right is always wet. I have a brand new 2 into 1 carb and it is not leaking so i know that the carb is ok. the head has never been off. I was just wondering if anyone has had any problems like this.
I was told by the dumb salesman at Trinity Racing two different ways. I think I need to remove the black box under the gas tank. leave the two carb plugs unplugged and cut off the wires that used to run to the thumb throttle. I went to a Terry Cable twist. Please let me know if this sounds right.
I STARTED THE ENGINE AND RAN IT FOR A MINUTE OR TWO. I THEN CHECKED THE COMPRESSION. THE LEFT CAME TO BE 120PSI AND THE RIGHT AROUND 110 OR SO. I DID TURN THE GAS OFF AND HOLD THE THROTTLE WIDE OPEN. IT MAY NEED AN OVERHAUL BECAUSE THIS WHEELER IS AN 01 AND NEVER BEEN TOUCHED EXCEPT FOR THE 2 INTO 1 CARB KIT WHICH I INSTALLED A FEW DAYS AGO.
THE CARB IS A KEIHIN 35MM PWK. THE JETS ARE CURRENTLY 188 MAIN AND 50 PILOT. ALSO I HAVE THE NEEDLE MOVED TO THE TOP POSITION. I INSTALLED NEW PLUGS THIS MORNIN AND FIRED IT UP. I RAN IT FOR 30 SEC OR SO WITH THE CHOKE OFF AND PULLED THE PLUGS. THEY WERE BOTH JUST SOAKED WITH GAS. THE KIT HAD 190 MAIN AND 52 PILOT AND THE NEEDLE IN THE MIDDLE POSITION WHEN I BOUGHT THE KIT.
i have a 2001 banshee with a 35mm carb kit installed....it started right up on the second kick but will only rev up good with the choke on...dont want to test drive it until it is fairly close on the jetting...turn the choke off and it just boggs from idle to midrange
I have a 2001 banshee with a 35mm cv carb kit installed. the exhaust on the left blows hot air but the right is much cooler. both cylinders have spark, the compression on both is around 120 by the 3rd kick, and there is only 1 carb. it seems to run ok, but I dont think it has the power that it should. the exhaust is stock for now please let me know what you think thanks dave
