  1. Pulled my head of of my Banshee to change domes for a trip this weekend and found a nice erosion in the top of the piston on the right side and the electrode burned off the plug and some aluminum flecks stuck to the edge of the dome. On my last ride last season pulling a long dune the power fell off and it quit pulling halfway up. I was almost out of gas when I coasted down to the bottom and figured that was the problem. Anyway, the engine mods are T-5s, +4deg and 21cc domes to go to Glamis. If I back the timing off to stock, what are the chances the piston will hold together for a few days till I get home? Or do I bite the bullet and stay home? You can feel the low spot in the center when you rub your finger over it. Or take a stock piston and change it there, can you take only one side down at a time in the frame ? FU**!!!
  2. I am going to Gordons Well / Glamis in February for the first time. My elevation here is 4600 feet, I have 18cc domes on pump gas and timing is adjusted up 5 deg. What domes do you Californy guys run on pump gas, do I have to back my timing down? Im thinking 2 steps up on my mains. Going the week after Presidents Day, hopefully won't be too crowded, Will I need to sleep on my Banshee to keep it from disappearing in the middle of the night?
  3. Have any of you guys messed with this and did you notice any performance increases. I have a mild machine and already did the tors delete, caps and idle screws.
  4. I just put a Chariot perf. timing plate on my Banshee a few months ago, it was a very nice part, nice looking etc. I set mine at about 5deg. The instructions seemed a bit vague for setting the gap for the pick up, but I got more info on that from this site.
