  1. haha man whats going on im in the same exact position! got this bike a week ago and it does the same thing. at half choke mine idles. it could be an vacum leak. ive had it with this crap so im taking mine to yamaha tomarow, i dont have any more patience. and if it yours aint fixed ill tell you what it is. is one cylinder running better than the other??
  2. yo poorboy350 nice bike bro. hey i dont mean to change the subjuect but i cant find who makes that bumper.....who is it?
  3. yea after hearing all of this im gonna eventuly get t-5s. plus i looked on toomeyracing.com and it said t-6s for stock banshees. t-5s for stock and beyond.
  4. i know it wont be like having t-5s but im going to port and hone it soon and put in ether weiscos or pro-lites. what do you all think thanks
  5. yea i know you could only go so many but i thought it would be a bigger difference on a banshee cause i would go to about 400 or over. i bored a dirtbike of mine out one time and i couldnt tell to much but it was like 10 or 20ccs over anyway. but yea thanks
  6. well yea im at 105 compression about so im gonna hone them and put new rings and pistons in but later in like a year when i can, i would like to bore it. but why not? should i just go with cubs?
  7. so i got this banshee less than a week ago and i got it with t-6s. i plan on doing engine work like boring it, domes, porting and stuff but i guess t-6s are not as good for all of that, maybe t-5s. i searched and didnt find anything related so what do you all think
  8. that is what ive also been thinking, i read a forum of a simillar problem and they adjusted to +4 but i still think it is an airl leak. i pulled the boost bottle and there are no cracks but the main thing that makes me think its an air leak is i can light through the slide and the carb wall like the slide is not tight and it is getting out of there.
  9. ok so i bought this banshee less than a week ago and ive been trying to get it to run since. it is my first one and i live in colorado for to make jetting weird but not so much. so the problem is that the only way it will start is if i cover one carb with my hand and barley allow air in, then when it fires up i have to take my hand off and tighten up the airfilter. it will not idle it just dies. it also sounds boggy and has no midrange power only top....it also has bad reaction timeing. if i cover the left carb and start it the right cylinder has less exhaust pressure and if i cover the right carb they are the same. it will only idle at half choke. and has really bad midrange power. the carbs are clean i have done a carb over haul and i tried overriding the tors and that wasnt the problem. maybe the timing plate needs to be adjusted but im not sure. the compression is both cylinders is good and the same. PLEASE HELP
