First off hello to every body. This is a nice forum here. I have been working on a friends banshee and ran into a problem I haven't seen before. I was asked to get it running and put on some used FMF fatty's he picked up. It had been sitting out doors for 2 years with gas in it and mice were living in the head pipes so not a fun job. I get the carbs clean and the new pipes on and running. Check the coolant and roll it out of the garage for a ride around the yard. Pop it in first let out the clutch and nothing. The motor revs but no movement. Also will not roll while in gear. Now I thought the motor compression keeps the quad from rolling while in gear?
Before he last put it away two years ago he tried putting on a new clutch lever and had no idea what he was doing. It set so the the clutch was pulled all the way in while in storage. Could it be just the springs?
I really dont want to get to into this project. This is an old J-arm with a welded frame and about every bushing in it shot. But he really wants it running. Any ideas Thank You.
