  1. The trinity pipes are by no means an all around pipe. I have ridden bikes with them, and they are a mid-top pipe that turns on like a light switch.

If you want midrange power, your gonna want something like ptr mids, pro circuits, or the fmf SST. When you have the motor ported, tell them you want your exhaust duration at no more than 188 degrees. Also, set your compression up at a bare minimum of 165 psi or more. Dont do anything crazy like put vf3's or aftermarket intakes on it. There are a lot of inexpensive things you can do for mid power that all together can make the bike pull and wheelie like a monster.

If you search on here, you can find what people have recommended for bottom end or midrange power. There is even a couple threads about everything done to my bike.

Dont put a 2 into 1 carburetor or pipe on it.

    thanks snopczynski
  2. Your going to run into people liking every other pipe out there... You are doing your research and that is good. You need to talk to a builder and thats why everyone is asking what your mods will be so they can match everything for you so everything working together. But all in all. and after market pipe is a great mod to start with if you know the direction you are going into and what you want from your bike. I for one went with the fattys and love the hell out of them... I do dunes in the winter and trails in the summer and those pipes seem to do just fine. But the top end is a little flat but hell im not drag'n so it doesnt bother me. and as for upgrading to the big bores for pipes i cant even put a finder on that. But this is the place to find out.

true bud...the funny thing is that theres not much builders in australia ...theres like 2 i herd of...so not much options for me

  3. If you build a bike right and tune it well, you can make some un-understood pipes work well for you. I run a low-mid pipe and have a redline of around 8700-9000 rpm. I only ride sand, and I drag race and ride the dunes, sand trails, and idiot holes as well. It does exceptionally well drag racing. It will most of the time win, but it stays right on the tail of well tuned 350's with big carbs and mid-top pipes. You need to decide where you want your power delivery to be, then we can point you in the right direction.
were i want power delivery most is mid range...not really out there to drag race...cheeres
  4. And HOW MUCH $$ do you have to spend...:)

All around good pipes are T5s, T6s (don't listen to the mod argument, basic mods and mild porting work just fine on them, T5's are just older, and cheaper to buy), Trinity IV and FMF.

How do you ride, where do you ride, and how much you got to spend? That is the question.

Unless you plan on going full on out drag racing, most pipes have different characteristics to suite your riding style.

Aside from pipes and motor work, the proper suspension and tire/gearing combo is every bit as important, if not more so.

just wanna get pipes, air filter, cabis, cool head domes,..wanna speng like $2300 aus$..i dont really wanna drag it...just wanna get the most power i can...later on maby 430cc cheatea...thats 2 years from now..

  5. Holy Shit, you guys sold this guy on some pipes without ever even telling him a trail pipe and a dune pipe combo dont exist. Is frogger the only one who asked the question that needed to be asked? Not to mention I wouldn't even buy a set of trinity pipes with stolen money for my worst enemy to run on his bike.

Lets do this the right way.

What type of riding do you do as the vast majority?

What mods do you plan to do later?

The vf3 reeds are pretty much only gonna make a difference on a drag or top end motor. So using them for trail riding is not doing you much good.

the type of rideing i do is mostly dunes bro....bit of trail 2...but mostly sand dunes/the mods i wanna do later will be cool heads doms, cabis, port head, air filter,v force reeds if i need them....,in the future 430cc cheater kit...but thats in 2 years from now...i am a rokie bro...dont no shit....need some advice bro...what should i do...

  6. CPI will be good for dunes...they have a lot of top end pull I've heard.

T5s are really nice pipes, and at an alright price, so don't overlook those.

I believe CPIs are generally a good amount more expensive than the Toomeys.

If you are going to do some port work, go with T5s or CPIs for sure.

A NOSS or Pro Design Coolhead will be good too, and get some domes.

For the V Forces, get VF3s.

    What's your elevation?

yeah that sounds good...what u think of trinity stage 4 pipes...any good for a stock motor...i herd that there good for stock and furture mods

  7. I can assure you..... if you got them, you would love them. I had them on a stock motor, then I ported it with a bore. It ran AWESOME bot setups. These pipes have a good pull to them. Can be duned and trail ridden. All around good pipe.

They are pricey, but that is because of the Stsainless Steel. No chrome rusting or peeling. Wipe these down here and there, they still look like new.

They sound and perform very well. I ride weith many banshees, see many as well. Saw Paul Turners, FMF, Pro Circuit, CPI, and Toomey. Every one of them performs in their own way. But the Trinitys give you a little of everything. Power in the midrange for trail or putting. And then have that arm ripping pull for duning and draggin. They come on nicely. I like them wayyyyyy better than the Toomey T5, which my cousin has, and are supposed to be a similar pipe.

The CPI has a narrower pwerband, with power coming on later and they are designed for top end. They are more of a drag pipe.

FMF is another route you can take. Great all around pipe, but not the top end the trinity offers.

If you went with Trinitys you woudn't regret it.

bro u have convinced me....im going with trinity stage 4....not worried for how much they cost
  8. I have the Trinity Stage IV's and I wouldn't trade them for nothing. I was going to get an all top end pipe but these Trinity's provide me the midrange and all the top end I need. Perform very well with mods as I rode them before and after motor work and mods.

They are similar to T5's, mount better and won't rust. Do not really need much attention as they are stainless steel. Sound like no other too!!!

But don't get me wrong... I am not saying just the pipe I own is good. I like the FMF Fatty's for all around riding too.

Depending on what you want to do, that is where your pipe choice will come into play.

But according to what you are saying, the Trinity, the T5 or the Fatty's will be a good choice.

u no what i really like the stage 4 trinity pipes but the dick head guy who represents trinity in australia( from explosive raceing)(zac) he recons that trinity stage 4 are only good for banshees that are really worked(400cc and up)he recons that cpi inframes are the best options for me...but the thing is i herd they got a lot of trouble(cracks etc)do u think trinity pipes will perform good on a stock motor and are they good for sandunes and trails...i vist the trinity web site and they recond that trinity stage 4 are good for stock motor and perform better when u add more mods..who do i trust...i really dont no what to do...just want the best gear on my shee...any way nice banshee u got really like it...good work

  9. I heard a lot guys saying that t5's are the way to go for future mods and what not. I am running t6's I like them but I hear a lot of stuff bad about t6's if you are planning to do any mods. I wasn't plannimg on on any mods but I have the sickness now.

yeah i hear a lot of good stuff about t5...but i visited there web site...they recond t5 are better if u want to leave it stock...and t6 r better if u wanna do mods...but both of them pipes are the best for stock motor...i dont no what i want lol..some people recond cpi in frames r good for stock and mods up tp 435 cc..but not higher....but might leave it stoc till i rec my top end....il just get cool head and k and n and pipes....maby v force reeds ..thanks for the input any way

  10. hi my names jim and live in australia..i got an 07 model shee....just wanna know whats the best pipes i can get for my banshee...some people say cpi some say tr5 tr6or fmf....and some say dmc allien..man are they all nearly the same deal....keep in mind i do wanna put other mods....but for now just a k and n filter with pipes and v force reeds....can some one help me out...im doing my head in :ermm:
