ok so from what i understand 03 has somewhat of an ecm, can someone explain to me how exactly it functions and what sensors does it use and how they should be properly bypassed. thanks.

so i put the stock reads on from my buddys bike and still no fire. i put the 34mm carb, dual stage reads and spacer on my buddys stock(stock other than an lrd pipe) blaster and it ran great. yet nothing will run on my bike? im thinking it has to be the porting?

ok, my buddy keeps his stock blaster at my house, and hes outa town so i borrowed his carb and it still doesn't run on a stock carb, it does better, but still wont actually start up and idle and run properly. so it could be 2 things, either i put the reeds on upside down(dual stages, wrong stage first maybe?) or my bargen 80$ port job wasn't such a good deal after all?

someone help me out! im so lost here, i took a video of it so maybe you all can understand whats going on a little better. in the video, when i lean over to the right left fender its becasue i have a primer there, it just dumps fuel into the intake since the carb has no choke, you can see that i prim way to much in and it floods out, as it cleans up it starts to run but only like iv mentioned int he first post. iv posted this on everything2stroke.com, blasterforum.com, and all i get is "did you remove the tors". the motor gets spark! tors shouldn't even be in the question! lol

if they turn black the bike it running rich. just figure out were its running rich and leen it out. if it runs rich at wide open then lean out the main jet, if its rich throughout the midrange then move the needle down. you kind of have to have a feel for it... now if they turn black over a very long period of time then thats no big deal, 2 strokes foul plugs eventually, thats just how it is.

i sold the stock carb, the motor will run fine, if i put a stock carb on theres no doubt it would run. i just need to get this carb jetted right.

i forgot to mention i just built the motor, it has all new parts, including a new sparkplug. thew motor is fine, its definitely the jetting thats the prob.

im building a blaster right now and its got an lrd pipe, reads, porting, and an old 34mm round slide mikuni that came from a snowmobile. my problem has to be something to do with jetting since i don't have a clue were to start. what it does is it will run as i kick it and die once i stop kicking it, in the idle position. it smokes really bad as i do this so it must be really rich. it wont do anything at all in any other position but idle. i changed the 310 main jet for a 240 main and it still does nothing when i give it throttle. the pilot jet is a 55, could the pilot jet be the problem? when i hold it full throttle and kick it it doesn't fire, but it doesn't smoke either, but i doubt its lean becasue it did the same with a 310 main. something must be wrong other than jetting? or maybe im just way to rich all around? im normally good at jetting 2 strokes and i know what im doing but iv never started with absolutely no starting point before so i need to know what its going to take to get m in the ballpark so i can start fine tunning. o yea, and i cleaned the carb extensively. its as clean as a brand new carb.

ill pass then. i just won badcompanys lonestar with carrier and hubs on ebay for 150$ shipped anyways so go ahead and let that bad boy rot in the corner! lol thanks anyways. im just glad i got an axle :biggrin:

im interested, can you post some pics or pm me some. is it adjustable or is it plain out just plus 4", if its not adjustable can you just give me a measurement from end to end. thanks

bump, i REALLY need an axle soon! somebody is paying me to build their bike and i need an axle in the bike really soon. can only afford to spend 150$.

well i looked into it today after finding out the the local atv shop couldn't really do anything for me, and the only problem with my slide is that it is too long... so... i cut it with a hack saw. it should work perfectly. iv "customized" things before, but this one seems kind of ridiculous lol. the needle seems to be correct, it seats down in there fine and the slide works just fine as well. so with any luck i wont have any problems. thanks for the help.

i need to know about your axle soon becasue i can get one for 150$ right now and im really in a pinch for time here.

it seems that he 30-34mm use the same slide, so technically i should have the correct slide... im a little confused right now, ill have to just bring the carb to the local atv shop and see if they have any slides that will work out for me.

nobody has a 34mm mikuni here that they can look on top of there slide and get me a part number?

so how bout a link... im in a pinch to get one soon, would you take a set price for it. id need to see it before i offer you anything tho.

i have an old round slide 34mm mikuni that i got on ebay and it came with a 30mm, i sold the 30mm and now realize that i sold it with the slide and needle that belong to my 34mm! were can i find just the slide and needle. i see them on ebay but i dont know how to reference any of the part numbers or anything. any help would be appreciated.

sorry but someone is paying me to build there quad, its not mine and iv already charged him for all the parts and i only figured 200$ for the axle so i cant pay more than that. thats a really nice axle you have tho. thanks for the reply. the most i can pay is 200$ shipped for any axle.

im looking for an axle. can has to be at least 2" wider. other than that i don't care what brand or whatever, as long as its not bent.

will you take 150$ for the axle alone, without the hubs or anything.

that would be fine but i am planning on putting the axle in a blaster and some say you need to swap the carrier some say you dont. if you can give me some solid information on using the axle in my blaster ill consider it. thanks
