  1. Up for sale is my 01 yamaha banshee. The only reason that I am selling it is because I have to go off to college in a week or so but if it doesn't sell i'll just keep it . It's pretty much stock with the exception of FMF fatty pipes/silencers, six pack rack, and a k&n air filter. I also just took it to the yamaha shop and had the transmission oil changed(bel-reay gearsaver), the coolant changed(maxima), a pancake bearing installed, and a billet impeller so its ready to ride. I also had them put on brand new tag bars/grips, shark bumper, and cascade eyes. All of this cost over $500 so I consider this banshee a pretty good deal. It also comes with a camo cover, truck ramps, tie downs, gas tank, and a new bottle of maxima 2 stroke oil. Still have the stock bars, bumper, foot plates, and skid guard if wanted. Located in the houston area for local pick up, $2350. Please pm me or email me at dattcplaya@hotmail.com for more info. Thanks!
  2. Yeah, I watched part of it and now I have the confidence to do some first timer repairs. I am going to install a billet impeller and a pancake bearing tomorrow. I'll let yall know how it goes afterwards. Thanks for the vid tate!
  3. Yeah, I have a chlymers and am going to try and do it myself. But I'd still like to know a good houston area mechanic incase a problem I can't fix comes along.
  4. Yeah, a case saver is a good investment for anyone who doesn't already have one. I bought a banshee from a friend and the case had already cracked from a broken chain. Does anyone know if I can still mount a case saver on mine(just to prevent any further damage) if the case has already broke right above the sprocket?
  5. Any legitimate banshee mechanic in the Houston area want to do this for me. If I can't find anyone on here to do it, whats the most that I should pay someone that I find locally?
  6. Will I have to split the cases if the push rod is welded to just the ball? I was in fourth gear on a pretty much stock banshee(only has fmf pipes/silencers). I'm not sure exactly how fast I was going, maybe 50-60, but it happen when I was slowed down to about 15-25mph. It always seems like its going faster than it truly is but I am sure that I was in fourth. I have already ordered a new push rod, bearing, and clutch gasket cover. If I have to split the cases then I will probably just buy a brand new fast clutch and redo the whole thing but hopefully its just something small! Thanks for all of the help guys and please keep the tips coming!
  7. I have a white brothers boost bottle and would like to trade it for the stock intake tube. Let me know!
  8. It's 2001 banshee foam w/ a new one industries seat cover. I charging less than the seat cover and the cost of getting it wrapped costs me. Ready to clamp on and ride! $65 + shipping
  9. Hey man, thanks for all of the help. I really appreciate it!
  10. What would I have to do to put on of these in? Do I have to mess with the clutch plates? Are they worth it? And here's a link so you can see what i'm talking about http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=193
  11. As long as it shows how to fix do everything involved with the word clutch I want one asap because my bike isn't running right now LOL
  12. I took my banshee out for a little ride, probably about 10 minutes or so. I got up to fourth gear and decided to slow down pretty quick to turn around(riding in a neighborhood setting). I was holding in the clutch shifting down(riding the clutch), at the same time braking to slow down and make the turn and all of a sudden the clutch just released itself when I was slowing down, going about 20-25mph. I thought it was the clutch cable but you can still see the cable pulling down by the engine. The clutch lever now has no resistance and pull back and forth freely. A good buddy of mine, a local, pretty smart car mechanic, told me that it could be the push rod. I also took it to the yamaha shop and they were saying that it could be the same thing. Has anybody else had a problem like this? If not, what are the common problems that happen inside the banshee clutch box? In the meantime, I haven't split the cases because I am waiting on the manual to come in and would like to see if I could get some insight from you guys. Please help me out. Thanks in advance, JR!
