  1. Toomeys are good pipes. I can't say that they perform any better than the FMF's or Pro Circuits though. I think they all do great for all around riding. Honestly if it were my money, I'd probably just snag a new set of Fatties off eBay. You can usually find em for under 500. I'm actually selling my FMF's, only because I really want to try a set of the DMC's

  2. Those are actually an OK tire on a stock Banshee. Back when I started duning those where $99 a pair mounted shipped from Rocky Mountain. LOL

Sounds good to me. Not expecting them to be as good as my skats that I had, but as long as they don't suck as bad as the geckos I'll be happy. This is just gonna be a play bike.

  3. No R1's in that pic. CPI OOF's, Big bore Shearers, Toomeys, and the CT inframe Drag pipes are on the bike. You got the best set of shearers I've owned, and the Rockets went to Whitbread. I do have a set of GRR Suicide inframes at the chromer though.

    How much for the Toomeys?

  4. So I bought a Banshee off a guy who lived at about 700 feet above sea level, which is close to the elevation I plan on riding most of the time. I live at around 2000 feet above sea level. It ran pretty good when I picked it up. Got it home and noticed the choke tube was missing and he also had the slides in the wrong carbs. He was was running an aftermarket uni filter with no lid. I switched to K&N pods. Now that I have the carbs back together with the choke tube and slides in their proper places, it's not running well at all. Pulled the carbs and they have 280 mains and 25 pilots. It currently has Toomey pipes and pod filters. Being that I'm at 2000 feet, is a 280 main still too lean? I did some searching in the jetting thread and saw that a lot of guys are running a 27.5 pilot and much larger mains than what I have.

  5. Ya I've been keeping my eye out for some, but every time I find some they're either beat to shit or not stock length. I don't mind rebuilding them, but a lot of the Elka's or even some works that I've found just look like shit. Especially the Elka's, the red anodizing is always faded to pink. This banshee is just gonna be a dune bike so I was thinking maybe I'd be able to get away with using those cheap shocks. Guess I'll just wait for some used ones to pop up
