  1. Found out, that little hose between the two carbs was missing. Idles now and runs even faster, and the choke now works... Thanks Guys...
  2. I have rode it, and for myself, it is way to fast. Im more looking for something to putt around the trails with on the mountains of Kentucky.
  3. I have up for trade a 1998 350cc Yamaha Banshee. It has racing carbs and it has been bored and ported and FMF Faty pipes and the head milled, and a bunch more. I got this in on trade and im wanting a regular 4 wheeler for the trails or a couple dirt bikes.. Needs a couple brackets for the fenders. Also could probably use a carb adjustment because it is jetted for the mountians of south eastern kentucky. And would need to be set for this area. Dont know if the choke is working, you have to use carb cleaner to start it. But once it is started and warmed up, it starts right back up. Runs very fast and will pull the front end off the ground in every gear. It is not for the beginner quad rider. Email me with what you have for trade.. Located in Alexandria, Indiana 46001
  4. No i dont, i basically got this banshee for trading material. Not riding. I'm actually looking for a 4x4 quad or a trail quad....
  5. I live 866ft above sea level, what should my carbs be set at? Also, when this shee is cold, why would i have to start it with carb cleaner? I have tried the choke, but doesnt change anything when its cold. Once the shee is warmed up, it will then start every time.
  6. I have had the air cleaner lid off and it doesnt make a difference. And thank you to everyone who has replied already...
  7. Yes, it has the factory airbox and a new clean filter. And on top of these carbs is just the throttle cable with the thread on cap... nothing electric on either carb..
  8. Im not sure if the Tor,s is removed or not. There is still wires going into the thumb throttle and i can hear a click of a switch when i lightly press the thumb throttle...
  9. Yes, the choke is on the left carb. But it doenst help to start it when its cold. Since this shee has racing carbs, is it still suposed to have a hose between both carbs?
  10. Traded for a 1998 Banshee 350cc "so i was told" its a very fast and wicked machine. Has FMF pipes on it and jetted racing carbs and has just had a rebuild done recently. Here are the questions. What is the switch for on the clutch handle, Has a little thumb button you press down and then it catches the clutch handle when you pull it back. Also, what is the best fuel mixture to use? what is the best 2 cycle oil to use? This four wheeler came from south eastern Kentucky and is set for that altitude, i live in central Indiana, so what should the jets be set at? Also, i have installed new plugs, but when the banshee is cold, you have to start it with carb cleaner.. After it is warmed up, it starts just fine. Also it will not idle very well. Could this be because the electric switch in the thumb throttle is still hooked up? Sorry for all the questions, but i want to cover all areas before riding too much... Thanks for anyones help with this. You can see more pictures here. http://s101.photobucket.com/albums/m78/jkwidener/Banshee/
