  1. I SAW IN EBAY SOME CYLINDERS THAT ARE BEING SOLD BUT THEY SAY THE PORTING IN A ALL AROUND PERFORMACE PORT JOB

    WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

    IVE JUS SEEN DUNE PORT HILLSHOOTER PORT AND ALL THAT BUT NEVER ALL AROUND PORTS

    AND WHAT WILL I NEED TO RUN THIS CYLINDERS?

    I I HAVE STOCK CARBS, STOCK CRANK, STOCK EVERYTHING EXEPT I GOT SOME DRAG PIPES AND JETS AND THAT WHY IM LOOKINF FOR SOME CYLINDERS

    WILL I BE ABLE TO RUN THEM WITH THAT OF WHAT I GOT OR WILL I EED TO UPGRADE SOME PARTS?

  2. I would recommend you start with a call to some engine builders. For one thing, I am nearly positive your 280 main with OOFs is too small. Running OOFs just for a look will hurt you in the performance department. You will need radical port timing to take advantage of them. I too would recommend going to an in frame pipe. You are no where near needing OOFs yet. Put it this way, that bike will straight way UP when you put the right pipes back on it. T-5s have always been a good choice for no port to wild port engines.

  3. im just looking to make my shee to be a hillshooter and be racing in the staight aways in the sand thats all i use it for i dont ride it hard at all

    and i have some cpi's on it right now

    whats the diffrence between a dune port and a 4 mill?

  4. Yea. You don't run a drag pipe on stock porting. The drag pipes are designed to make power at a higher rpm and the stock porting is not. Ethire get a port job or sell the pipes and get something different. I would chose the first option

    oh well yeah thats what im going to do then imma get a port job?

    another question do you think if i get bigger carbs that will help my performance out better?

    and what size would be good?

  5. Ohhh, you'll definately know. The bike wont run anymore if the top end blows. If it's starting to go the bike will also be very hard to start. If the head gasket blows it either wont run or will run like shit and burn coolant. Also, you'll have very little compression left if you want to throw a compression guage on there.

     

    oh and about the compression how do you know how much you have to have and how do you tell how much you got?

     

  6. i have drag pipes on my banshee and 280 jets with stock carbs and individual filters and a advanced timing plate?

    and my shee doesnt act right it wont accelerate when i punch the throttle

    do you guys think its cause of the pipes or something

    and if i bore my cylinders and get bigger carbs will that work?

  7. A friend of mine had a very similar problem, his slide was getting stuck too far up & when you hit the throttle it would just bog. Looking at the exhaust it looked like one cylinder was functioning but that other not so much. To see if this is your problem, take your airbox/filters off & see if one of your slides is sticking up. When we got into it we thought there might be clogged jets because it sat with gas in it, when mixed gas sits the oil & gas react & the oil turns into gunk. After we replaced the gas & checked the jets, we realized it wasn

    im looking for some front black fenders that are in great condition and shine up perfect

    and also if you guys have any chrome parts. billet black or billet chrome hit me up im more than intrested right now
