i just bought kenda dominators and heaps happy with them.. heaps grippy and perfect for slidin ... and dont even think about goin stock, i had full tread on the stock tyres and didnt hesitate to change them they r rubbish!!!!

hey guys my mates stator has been water damaged or so we think.. any way we need to buy a new one. there is one on ebay High Quality Stator for Yamaha YFZ350 Banshee 1995 + RMSTATOR has any one used this stAtor ???? which stator should i buy??? thanks guys

i cant make my mind up between the kenda dominators or the MAXXIS iRAZR iMX.... i would like to know if they are similar... my mates bike has the kenda dominators and i like how its grips but im also curious is to how the maxxis will handle.. all help is appreciated thankss!!!!!!

ok i just re-built my mates bike.. fresh crank, fresh pistons, and done by the book.. ok so i cleaned the carbs by undoing the the bowls and spraying carby cleaner... (didnt adjust floats, didnt syc carbs etc.) i was just syked to hear the bike start.. it was givin me a hard time startin so i adjusted the air/fuel mixture screw , kicked it over and it started but stoped. i then went to syncing the carbs and idle... after that it wouldnt turn on.... everytime we tryed kickin it over a little bit of fuel was pourin out of the over flow.. so i thought it was flooded so i opened the drain port at the bottom of the carbs and fuel wouldnt stop pourin out .. i knew that something was wrong.. It evently started again but reved outta control!!! my question is : if the floats are stuck open will this cause the engine NOT to start??? if yes.. wen it evently starts will it cause the engine to rev off its head without my thumb on the throttle??? PLESE REPLY !!! THESE QUESTIONS ARE IMPORTANT FOR ME TO KNOW THANKS!!! thanks guys jack

hey guys ok .... so im re-building my mates shee and when i was taking out his clutch i noticed he had no cushion rings in between the friction plates and steel plates.. my 1ST QUESTION: can i re-install his clutch without the cushion o-rings???? why??? i also came across the adjuster bolt had the ball bearing welded on it... I HATE ABSOLUTLY HATE quick fixes and not all replacing parts that need to be.. BUT my mate cant afford it right yet but wants his bike to run... i have replaced his crankshaft, pistons machined cylinders + head.. he has spent $1000 already (AUS). . . i bought a new pushrod and ball bearing but didnt buy the adjuster bolt because the stealership wanted $45 dollars for it and was goona take 2 weeks to come in.. MY 2ND QUESTION: can i heat up or hack saw the ball bearing off the end of the adjuster bolt??? remember just a quick fix just to get it runnin ... thanks guys jack

i installed the TORS removal kit so thats outta the question.. i will double check the park brake then do all the checks... thanks any other suggestions

park brake disconnected . . . could a airleak cause this??

thanks... ok i sprayed a shit load of carby cleaner through the main jets.. the slides are correct, the choke tube is connected

ok this is the senario the bike burbles wen riding and shee doesnt want to rev .. at idle it revs a bit better... i just removed the TORS because i thought that it could have been the problem but clearly its not... i cleaned the carbs good but didnt pull out any jets... the bike had been through water 6 months ago and before that was runnin like a dream.. we didnt try start it after it went in the water until 4 months after that.. please help me im going crazy . . . all suggestions welcome but i would like help from the experts thanks in advance

ok guys i just removed my tors and just need some advise.. i installed my new carb tops and wanted to sync my carbs... the way i sync it is through the little window on the right side of the carbs at WOT.. i done this and there fairly synched,but i have ran out of adjustment on my carb tops... they are all the way at the bottom... i started her up and adjusted my idle . everything was sweet took her for a wrap today and she screamed... is it ok to leave it like this??? 1 more thing the locking tab for the carb tops dont even touch my new carb tops wen i tighten them... is that normal ???? wont my caps loosen?? thanks guys

thanks guys... ok i already have a cylmer manual... so its suggested to spiltt the crankcase and check the crankshaft properly im also not sure of wat pistons to buy? this topic has proberbly been covered 100X but should i go for cast(proX) or forged (wiseco) i would personally choose forged but dont really know the advantages .. thanks

hey guys i just need a bit of help in choosing the direction to go in... well my mate just bought a banshee that was appenetly running but had no power due to low compression.. the mechanic told him it just needs a top end rebuild... my mate asked me if i can rebuild it for him and i agreed, but how do i know that the pistons just need replacing???? im worried i will rebuild the top end and next thing u no the crankshaft shit itself how can i check the crankshaft while the engine is still mounted to the bike??? this will be my first banshee rebuild.. im very confident but wanna do everything 120% so if u all can give me any helpful tips it will be much appreciated thanks for your replys jack

thanks for all the info and the design offer but i just bought new handle bars and oury grips... thanks anyway i will be stripping it down and cleaning things and go from there.. cheers

thanks for all the replys.. ok the park brake was already disconnected but im not sure if the electrics side to it is.. if it was not disconnected could this be the problem??? but wen the shee was on idle it would rev well over 2000rpm as soon in gear it would bog.. hope it helps off the topic my shee has stock tyres and i think it lacks in handling compared to my mates one which has kenda dominators would it be the tyres?? if yes which brand tryes should i get for max performance.. i mainly ride trail, dirt, gravel , and road thanks again guys

hey people.. ok this is the senario, around 4-5 months ago we went riding and my mate ride his shee into knee height water and it cut off.. he didnt try start it so we drained the air box and left it as is, wen we got home we cleaned her and fired her up but didnt test ride it.. yesterday we started her and she didnt want to go. we let her warm up (5-10 min) and wen we put in in gear it would just bog like there was not enough fuel gettin in. i think its the TORS so we tryed disconnectin it by takin unplugin it but didnt work.. I read correct me if im wrong that if the TORS gets wet it causes the slides or something to get stuck... we are going to order the TORS removal kit but wanna be sure thats its the problem.. Thanks in advance guys let us know wat u think..
