every time i rejet i seem to have this issue, sync up the carbs, put the pods back on. test run and what do you know i lost a pod! anyone else have this issue, stock carbs! what do you guys do to keep them suckers on?

sio2, your right i bought a 08 and paid that but that was my stupidity, i got 6k from the insurrance when it got stolen, your never gona get what you paid for it, you took it off the lot the lost is on you and you only keep it in the crate for 30 years and it mite be worth a mint but i dont think anyone wants to take that chance any time soon

This has to be the biggest pain in the ass. I have got lots of info on here before on my jetting.
I still have a bad bog when i shift. So from half to full throttle.
Here is my mod list again
.40 over
boost bootle
k&n filter no box
290 main
25 pilot
needle 2nd clip from the blunt end. (if i put the needle in the middle it sputters really bad on the low end or just starting in 1st & 2nd gear)
+4 timing key
I think i am running lean. It runs really strong on low end and pulls hard. It also get hot really fast!!!
Elevation is around 1800ft.
Please help me out. Maybe I need to go up to 310 or 320 mains? Info would be appreciated otherwise i am just going to unload my banshee and get a yfz450. Thay may sound bad but this tuning is getting to be some bullshit.
dude i just finished jetting my shee for the first time, never touched a carb before in my life, lots of how too's on this site that are great help, im no expert but sounds to me that your rich as fuck drop your needle one and try that, BTW if tunning istint in you i dont suggest you go buy a 450

i dont know where to post im not complaining about anyone but over the past couple year since iv started my toy collection and starting the long expencive modding prosses, i keeped gettting F**K*D with taxes and fees at customs when shipping USPS and CP, for exp, i just picked up a part for my sled and paid 100US and got naild with a 68$ bill, i will be paying the extra to ship UPS or Purolator from now on and heads up to the rest of you

27.5 pilots and 320 mains no air leak's that i could see, for refrence comp is 120 on both sides, could this be reads? i forgot to cheack if theres sucktion comming from the carbs doesint seem to be getting any fuel

ok i i got a new shee (08 got stolen) its a 05 i picked up last fall and never really rode it, wouldint idle when i bought it so i figured the pilots where dirty, put it away for the winter, and now im back at it getting it going for the season, pulled the carbs and cleaned them out and realised i had a riped wire on the tors, so i disconected the tors's cleand the carbs and put them back in, now the thing wont run, if i put gas in the carbs it fires up but wont idle, then runs on one cycinder till i rev it up past 1/2, any ideals,

hi. i recently purchased a one stock 01 shee which ran perfect. i've since added a K&N filter, removed the air snorkel, a set of paul turner hi revs, and upped the main jets to 260's.
the bike was running great, but was a real pain to start when the engine was cold. i next upped my pilot jets to 27.5's and the starting seemed to improve. my needle clip has never been moved from the 3rd position. plugs are a nice light brown color.
here's the interesting part. when i reassembled the carbs after putting the pilots in, i forgot to tighten the 2 clamps that hold the carb boots tight on the choke side carb. i ran the bike for 2 days like this with no problems. today i realized what i did and tightened the 2 clamps. all day my bike has not been able to hold an idle.
a friend tried adjusting the idle screws on the tors assembly and it didn't help. i've been playing with it for a whle now and haven't gotten too far. i've gotten the idle screws back to 1 1/2 turns after the slides move and my air screws are at 2 turns.
i now need to give the bike some throttle when starting and if i keep the throttle in a hair and the choke all the way out, the bike will idle. once i let off the throttle, or do not have the choke out, it just dies.
all ideas are welcome & thanks in advance!

Is the stock rear real soft or is it just me I do have the damper all the way on stiff and its soft if you ask me its a 97 but the bike doesnt have a ton of ride time on it front end feels great
same isues here with my 05, but then again i had the same problem with my bran new 2008 so the rear shocks just suck, or i need to lose some weight

i just got my 2008 shee stolen! it was bone stock, heres my delema, i found a sweet deal on a 2005 shee, tommy T-5's great shap and babyed as well and mine was, very low hours, claimes less the 30 hours, my insurance is giving me the price of new for my bike since its 4 months old, here is where it get's messed, i found out who stole my bike he has been joy riding it and we had snow on the ground since its been stolen, my bikes jetted for summer, im guessing he hasent been letting it warm up or putting good fuel and oil in her, i will go break his legs later on, but should i forget about the bike and go with the 2005???

you can get decal remover that i used on my raptor, i cant seem to find it anymore but im looking for some for my shee, only problem is if you plastics are faded a bit you will see where the lable was its going to be darker

i was born with a phobia of carbs, thats why i own a EFI sled, anywais i have a new 2008 shee and i will be trowing in a offset timming plate at +4, knN filter, and droping the oil ratio to ether 32:1 or 40:1, i ride at 1140FT i did get main jets i think with my bike is that all i need for these modds, or should i be getting a jet kit, what should i be changing them too i have 190's 220's and 240's and should i be doing it b4 a plug chop ? im lost thanks for the held and sorrie for the stupid questions that mite of been ansers in form's i have missed

just strait one, no outer wear they sit on the top of the case, i dont get it i must be scewing something up the problem follows 2 sets of pods. you guy just putting the pods on dry and tighten the hose clamp right?
