  1. i thought 250 mains were to lean but i just cant figure out why it runs fine until i hit trails.all that it takes is 1 hour and then it floods and fouls the plugs.

  3. thanks thats what i though but he gave me a grease bolt and said it was for the shock.rocky mountain told me it was for the top of the shock and a local dealer told me it was for the bottom,i tried both(neither fit well) but i also had to change the swing arm bushing and realized that the front of the dog bone had a regular bolt,i took it out and it was greased to hell and then it hit me that maybe the grease bolt went here.but i wanted to check here to m ake sure.thanks again.
  4. someone put different bolts on the rear end when i got it (bolts with tons of washers) and i need to know if 3 parts need regular bolts or grease bolts 1)top shock bolt 2)bottom shock bolt 3)front of arm relay http://www.yamaha-motor.com/outdoor/parts/home.aspx (part number 14 on swing arm) 4)back of arm relay please help

  6. i just got a new banshee and the pipes/engine pings alittle i know this is usually because of carbon buildup or early detonation.hes been running premium gas but his advanced timing plate is set at 4.5 would knocking it down to 4 help???
  7. if i follow the average of some of the jetting calculators i get main-310-330 pilot-27.5-30 adjust air screws anyone with an opinion? what are some of you running for jet sizes-maine and pilot???????????
  8. i talked to the previous owner and he said that its only because while riding trails you dont go into powerband so it doesnt clear out something.

  10. is there anyplace to buy the bushing thing for the bottom of thr front shock.i just got it and its missing it.if i pick the front end up there alittle play inbetween the mount and the shock eye hole.hope i explained the part i need properly.

  13. also the previous owner was running 40:1 mix but i hear that a 32:1 ratio is better.maybe this would fix the problem?

  15. i have an 87 with j-arms what type of work is needed to get the top a arms on???
  16. just want high beam. i just wasnt sure if i should tie the blue wire into the high beam wire or just the power wire.i wasnt sure if i did that then the tails would just stay on.(i just realized i have a taillight not a brake light) but in order for the tails to work would the switch have to be on?what if i tied into the yellow/red power wire?(would that keep them on all the time while the quad is running) also do i need any fuse or relay of any kind?the switch is a universal 12v 3 prong switch sorry for the 50 questions but i like to measure 100 times and cut once..you know the rest
  17. i just want high beam. i just wasnt sure if i should tie the blue wire into the high beam wire ir just the power wire.i wasnt sure if i did that then the tails would just stay on.in order for the tails to work then the switch has to be on?what if i tied into the yellow/red power wire?
  18. ok i have a (using aftermarket lights) yellow wire-high beam green wire-low beam blue wire-taillight yellow with red stripe wire?-what is this wire for? what do i have to do to the blue wire to keep my brake light?

I HAVE AN 87 BANSHEE BORED 50 OVER,AFTERMARKET PIPES AND SILCERS,ADVANCED TIMING PLATE, AND K&N FILTER.I RIDE IN SACO,WATERBOROUGH,AND LIMERICK MAINE (ITS ALL SOUTHERN MAINE)AND I CANT FIND THE ELEVATION OF THESE AREAS(ONE SITE WILL SAY ONE THING AND ANOTHER WILL BE WAY DIFFERENT) AND THE TEMP IS ANYWHERE FROM 50-95. THE REASON I ASK IS IT SEEMS TO RIDE FINE IN SANDPITS BUT IF I GO TRAIL RIDING IT WILL FLOOD AND FOUL THE PLUGS IN ABOUT AN HOUR. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED
  22. can i pull the black box off and toss it?also what about the tors stuff inside the throttle housing(spring i think it is)?
  23. can i take out all the tors stuff without the kit and be fine?and just get the kit later?
  24. my timing plate is set at 4.5.i have a k&n filter,aftermarket pipes and silencers it seems to ride fine but i keep reading people say to keep it at 4 should i bring it down to 4????????????
