i live right off 65 then from my house its 28 straight to the badlands but the only thing stoppin me is being able to get a truck or trailer to haul the banshee with . or mud i avoid it like the plague

hey just did a search and came across this thread i live about 20 mins away from the badlands and my good ol mother lives right in the town by the hotel which is maybe 5 minutes. ill see what i can do about making it over there im unemployed right now so it shouldnt be an issue. are you guys planning on being in the camp ground or in the actual lot down by the consession stand?

im looking for an adjustable timing plate if anyone has one let me know thanks
-
mine does the same thing if i forget to shut it off and it sits over night there will b a good sized puddle when i go in the garage the next day i just dont even worry about
-
I live in Indiana and I've noticed my banshee idles low and after about five minutes or so it starts idling higher and higher and once it settles down if u just barely touch the throttle it will idle high again for a minute or so. I'm not sure if the colder weather would have anything to do with it as it has been getting colder. I took it around the block and got on it a few times and noticed too when I pulled in the cluth and was just rolling it sounded like it had the high idling sound again. Anyone got any ideas? thanks

Are those stock impellars?

ok finally got some time to look at the arrows on the case. the clutch arm no matter how much u adjust the perch does not go behind the arrow on the case it just stays almost completly lined up with the arrow even when i adjust it so much that it has alot of play on the perch lever.
-
hmm well ill look into it this weekend when im not so busy and see what i can come up with
-
i had my good tires on the road too so i know they werent spinnin
-
no because when u feel it right before it hits the powerband it sounds as if its hitting a rev limiter haha then blows through the powerband in like 2 secs then i gotta shift and it does the same thing again
i did take the chain off clean it and got the slack out of it but i dont think that would make ne diffrence
-
hmm im not sure because i tried adjusting the play in the lever and thats the only thing i did before i rode it again and it just sounds like its balls to the ball and goin nowere
-
Sounds like the clutch is slipping pretty bad is there some play in the clutch lever when its is supposedly engaged or is it really tight?
I adjusted the lever several times there was some play in it so i tightened it then when i took off it was really snappy when i rode it and when i went on a longer ride first gear is the only gear that felt and sounded normal. As soon as i went to second the powerband hit then sounded like it was balls to the wall same with the rest of the gears. it almost feels like the clutch might be enganged just a hair not real sure

Does anyone know if u need a longer clunch cable or ne thing when just switching out the stock clutch lever for a perch... i changed mine out and for some reason its fallin on its face. it runs through the gears so fast that 6th gear sounds pinned when only goin 35-40mph and it goes through the gears as soon as u shift into them. thanks

maybe thats what i was getting at. being able to tell if its melted or broke without draining it all again and taking the pump cover off
-
i just wasnt for sure if there was a good way to figure out if the coolant is actually pumping through
-
I was wondering is there an easy way to to find out if my coolant is pumping through everything. I recently drained the coolant and put fresh engine ice in. I figured it might drain down a little after alot of riding but the level hasnt budged...thanks
-
see i just drained almost all the coolant out and put new coolant in but i havent checked the color of it yet and i was wondering if it really was flowing through there because it didnt take any out of the coolant bottle and i hear those stock impellars are junk
-
i was wondering how hard it is to replace the plastic impeller to a pro designs impellar and how effective it really is

in the hunt for some vf3 reeds for the 98 banshee

50:1? the thing is i ran out almost all his supertech and it was running fine and so was the klotz till about the end of the tank, and the right side doesnt seem to be hittin as hard at all. and when i really womp on it, it seems like the powerband winds up more than just take off like it did b4
-
I gota 98' banshee with toomey t5's and recently bought it and the guy ran 32:1 spectro and i drained that out because i wanted to run Klotz Supertech 32:1. I only mixed 2 gallons and put in it and rode for awhile. At first it was 3 kicks and it was running now it takes more kicks and the left pipe smokes more when its warmin up and the right doesnt seem to be smoking or hitting very hard. Any ideas? thanks
