  1. Runs better than I had hoped....my brother-in-law still doesn't know about it so I can't wait till the next time he joins me on a run....it'll blow him away  .
  2. Would just like to thank Jeff at F.A.S.T for the excellent parts and service. I will definitely be dealing with Jeff again when it comes time to add more. Thanks again Jeff, here is what she turned into so far. http://my07banshee.blogspot.com/
  3. no other plans other than finding someone in the area to port her....other than that I plan on enjoying her for a bit
  4. Hey everyone! I just finished my initial mods earlier and thought I would say thanks to BHQ and Jeff @ F.A.S.T. Tell me what you guys think. 07 Banshee
  5. Agreed! Thanks is in order to all those that have helped create and keep Banshee HQ running! Without this site I would have had to search a lot harder for answers to my sometimes not so swift questions. Also, without this site I wouldn't have come across Jeff @ F.A.S.T and been going tomorrow to pick up my first order of parts  ! I am so excited about tomorrow (you have no idea) and I plan on posting pics of my shee's initial stages of transformation. Cheers.
  6. Was just wondering if there are any members that are either in Alberta or planning on taking a trip to Alberta this summer. I am hoping to take a trip to Brule Lake this summer (not sure when yet) and thought maybe some of you might be interested. Plus if there are any HQ members in central Alberta that are interested in going elsewhere for a day trip or something that would be cool as well. Chris
  7. Anyone ever hear of PPW? I just got back from the dealership, I was asking what pipes they could get in. When I mentioned CPI's he asked why I would want them then said he is now dealing with the people that make all those pipes. He showed me a set of inframe big bore pipes that had no company name on them but there was a tag hanging off them that said the supplier was PPW. Anyone know what these pipes might be?
  8. Thanks for all the help everyone....I have also been looking at some of the manufacturers sites looking at the pipes that have been mentioned....most of the sites seem much the same as far as boasting gains over stock and saying they are the best pipes on the market.
  9. Thanks for the input...as I said though I have been following the site for some time now and I have seen plenty of posts on pipes....but the ones I have seen mainly have people posting that they like one particular pipe over another without much explanation as to why....this is really the only reason I posted this in the first place.....with all the reading I have done on this site I was coming to the conclusion that the T5's were among the favorite pipes here....I really just want all the info I can get before I buy is all and when you go onto the manufacturers sites they all say that they are better than the others, so how is one to know without either trying them all or talking to people such as yourself who have way more experience...oh, and just so everyone knows I mainly do trails and not so open sand areas, so I never hit 6th unless I am on a gravel road racing friends....thanks for the help. p.s. every time I have used search it comes up with an error message
  10. New to HQ but have been checking out the info from this site for about a year now. I am thankful for the info and time you all put into this site as it has helped me out with things I have wanted to learn. I know everyone has their own opinions about which pipes they like and have seen many posts in regards to one set of pipes over another. However, I am wanting to know what you would run and why, if you had a stock engine but were willing to do other mods such as reeds, advance timing, air filter, and such without modding the engine itself. The mechanic at the local yamaha dealership tells me to run FMF Fatties and Core 2's, but my brother-in-law has them on his banshee and I am not all that impressed with the sound or the performance. He is definitely faster than I am right now but not nearly as fast as I would have thought and that is after the mechanic at the dealership tuned it all in for him. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
