they found some guy on it in a state forest rant he vin and it came back stolen the guy had a false bill of sale so they released him and i think are going for the guy who sold it to him if the name is not fake so hopefully it will all work out and i can get some money to rebuild it

About a year and a half ago we had 2001 400 ex stolen from our yard. last sunday the cops show up syaing they found the quad 200 miles away. The people who had it beat the shit out of it a arm bushings are gone ball joints plastics are fucked they just destroyed it. So I bought an 05 of a guy a few eeks ago brought it home it was running kinda rough so i figured bad jetting or dirty carbs so i brought it to a guy who kows a good amount about banshees, he has owned several. he went through it found a good size piece of dirt in the carb. also he said the right bank is detinating. he said it could be caused by a bad seal int he crank area he also said it would be a good idea to switch the stock air filter and housing to a k&n. what do you guys think of this

I was just ridding it in my yard and ripped it down the road it has become much more responsive. howevre if i stop and then try to take of in first it just wants to die unless i rev it up a good amount then sometimes it still wants to die So in all when i just start off it bogs and wants to die if i give it a good amount of throtel and feather the clutch a little bit it hesitates and then finally goes.

This kinda goes along with my post in the repair forum. however what would cause my banshee to smoke im not talking just a little amount. like if i rip it down the road the whole road fills with smoke

Now would running the wrong size jets in that cause that problem?

It does not have any mods done to it no exhuast no after makrket air box nothing. But the guy i bought it from said something about it having summer jets in it, he said if it is colder then 40 it will run like crap. now where i live its still in the 30's so do think this could be true or is the guy a donkey. He also gave me a bag of 4 jets they range between 190 and 240
