  1. Mailman, You have got an Email. Peddro
  2. Hi Nick, Hi Nick thanks for the reply. However, but I am a "City & Guilds" of London Engineer. So these were all torqued down correctly to 20lb. I have been told that I can get them repaired with either a Helicoil, or a Time-Sert, but I am concerned with the lack of metal by the "O"ring groove. However these are Trinity domes, 27cc, is their a problem with them? Engine spec:- They are Trinity Racing Domes 73.5-27-10 (27cc) Squish:- 1.01mm. Ignition is RD/YPVS F2 std CDI Unit Pipes are custom built. Bellies:- 129mmm OD. Stingers:- 26mm ID. Stinger Length approximately:- 220mm Mikuni TM38mm carbs K&N 4" air filters. Set up:- 30:1 oil/fuel ratio. Super Unleaded sorry but it has to be pump gas, 97Ron in the UK) As its a road bike. Oil Silkolene Pro 2 Spark plugs: NGK BR10EV I have built lots of race engines & have won 2 British 250cc Championships & twice runner-up, plus countless other titles, so I can build the odd engine. (sorry Nick, but I hope I dont seem to be disrespectful). This is a great shame as the bike is going great & other that the pipes, everything else was made by hand by myself, including all the carbon fiber. Thanks again. Peddro.
  3. Thanks for the advice, I will try to contact Calvin. Yes, just using straight water just to start with, as I was setting the bike up & was going to be draining the coolant a few times, so didnt want to waste the antifreeze. I will add antifreeze mix, now that I have sorted out the ignition & jetting. Just need these studs sorting out now! The bike was going great before noticing this stud issue, never mind I am sure someone will help. Best regards Peddro.
  4. Hi, has anyone had this problem with a 535 cheetah cylinder? 5 of the 11 studs are pulling out of the cylinder, however the threads have not been stripped it just seems to be pulling all the metal around the stud from out of the cylinder. The engine has been run for over 100 miles with no problems, then I removed the head to check the Orings & tried to re-torque the head & it felt like some of the threads where going to strip, but in fact the threads are sound its just pulling the stud & thread together out of the cylinder! All were fine when I first built the motor & all torqued down correctly to 20lb, I have now got a mess! I have been told that it maybe a heat treatment issue when the cylinder was made? Also I was told that the reason for this was that “I over tightened the studs” (So how come the threads didn’t strip then?). Has anyone seen this before? Many thanks Peddro.
  5. The bike pulls from about 3,500rpm clean through to 10,200rpm with no dips in power. Its not as powerful as you chaps in the USA as I am still learning the set up but so good so far. As its a road bike it runs on 95ron pump fuel, jetting is still on the rich side but its safe for now as its only just finished & running. As for a comparison against other bikes, their are only a handful of 535 bikes in the UK so I cant compare performance. However its very light at 123.9kgs & on a bumpy raod the front wheel was up in fourth gear! its fast & its lots of fun. Peddro.
  6. I dont know exact, but a rough figure approx $290 -$300 but I will need to look into it tonight as its more complicated with the removable cover as you cant thread carbon, so threaded inserts need to be fitted so extra time in construction ect.... I will confirm Friday or over the weekend. Peddro.
  7. Thanks for your kind comments. Here's a link to a thread of the build. http://www.rzrd500.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=25817#25817 As for the price of a cover, I will have to look at it, as I will now have to make new moulds for the removable gear cover. I will try to get back to you either Friday or over the weekend. Best regards Peddro.
  8. The bike is a Yamaha TZR "250" 3XV with a 535cc banshee engine. sorry I am not too good a posting photos as it keeps saying file too big to upload. I could make the cover with a removabe side for the sprocket if required. Peddro.
  9. Anyone interested in a Carbon Fiber Stator cover? http://s695.photobucket.com/albums/vv319/peddrotzr/Casing%20Mould/2010_0117casefitted0016.jpg http://s695.photobucket.com/albums/vv319/peddrotzr/Casing%20Mould/2010_0121casefitted40003.jpg Regards Peddro.

    535 cylinders

Hi, Wanted 73mm 535cc cylinders! Got problems with my Trinity cylinders as the studs are pulling out of the cylinders, they are not stripping the threads as these are still intact, just pulling the metal out! Many thanks Peddro.
  11. I have Brand New pair of out of frame Shearers for sale. These were bought by mistake for my road racing motorcycle, this is a Yamaha TZR250 Vtwin, which has a RZ350 Engine with a big bore 535 trinity kit on it. I was going to get them cut & re-welded to try to make them fit but their is insufficient room, as they are to big for my bike, its a waste to butcher these pipes when they will not fit properly. These have never been used & need sell these as they are of no use to me, send PM with email address & I will send pics. Peddro.
  12. Hi Jason, I have got a brand new pair of Out of Frame Shearers, I bought these for my road race motorcycle, so that they could be cut & rewelded to fit, but after looking at them, their is no way they could be made to fit, & would be a waste to butcher these pipes. These have never been used let me know if your interested. Peddro.
