should i put in different size domes in the head? any ideas on what the right amount of compression should be in a cub engine? and i have been thinking that it wasnt getting enough fuel that maybe i should get a pingle but wasnt sure if it would work or i needed it. also, my other banshee has about 170 compression and it is just as fast as the cub there are also different mods between the 2 bikes too but wasnt sure if the compression had a big effect on the hp

No i dont have a pingle. another thing, i did a compression check today both sides have 120. and im not on the trottle too long i usually dont even make it half way up the dune when it loses power. and it happens when ive been riding it for awhile so could it be over heating?

i just got another banshee but this one has a cheetah engine. i havent looked to much into cheetah engines so i need some help. this bike is built! i was told it is not ported and has 65mm pistons with a coolhead not sure what size domes. it also has 35mm carbs and boysen reeds, fmf pipes. so, the problem is once i ride it up the dunes a few times it starts to lose power. after i take off and go to shift into 3rd gear the motor just dies and i have to turn around when i try to go up a dune. i put some engine ice in it and a billet impeller and a new clutch thinking it was over heating or just a old clutch. any help would be great thanks.

I have some close to new mikuni 38mm flat slide carbs and upp intake boots that I am looking to trade for smaller mikunis with boots

im not going to handle it that way but thanks for the advice. and it was sams cycle supply that did the work. and sam said his guy has been doing machine work for years and years and he has never seen him mess up. i went and picked up the cylinder so i can take pictures to show you guys and thee is no way that they could have fixed up the ports there are chunks out of them i will take pics and post them in a little bit wait till you see the pics..... they said its so bad that the have to bore it 1mm and a half and they are not even sure if that will fix it because it is so bad -

i took the cylinder back with the piston to the owner he said he is going to have to call me when his machine guy gets in... so he finally called he said his guy did a 100% job on my cylinders and the port work. he said it was all my fault. his first excuse was that i put the piston on backwards. then he tried to say when we put the cylinder on we twisted it and it moved the piston clips and thats what screwed everything up. well i got home i checked out my other cylinder and piston that piston is on the same way asa the other so its not a backwards piston. and my buddy that helped with the motor said he did not twist the cylinder and now the guy that did the machine work does not want to pay for anything -

the guy that did it took about 4 weeks to finish it i had them ported polished and blueprinted he said that they should be perfect but i did not double check. im going back to him tomorrow to see what he can do -
i just rebilt my motor had it all ported polished did coolhead bigger pistons and everything. it ran good during the brake in took it to the dunes for the weekend and came back did a compression test it had 150lbs in the left and 30lbs in the right tore the motor down pistons were black and one was missing half of the clip an there was chunks outta the top of the piston and the cylinder is damaged. i did gear saver oil in the motor and mix castor 927 in the gas with a 40:1 ratio. what happened? what should i do different next time?
-
top end just rebuilt about 10 to 15 hours on it now. i just did a compression test and i have 150lbs on the left and 30 on the right. my reeds are good i have found no leaks anywhere. the bike starts up on 1 or 2 kicks every time so im not sure what to do. the bike still has power when i ride it so i dont think it is blown or is it? and when i pull the plugs out the left looks good an dry and the right is always wet. what do i do? thanks

i am getting my cylinders ported and polished and the guy said he is going to blueprint them too does anyone really know what that means when you get your cylinders blueprinted?
