  1. Pic, can't make it happen. Photobucket, is that the way to get pics up?
  2. Just looked at the right carb off of my 04, there's a hole through the port, connected to another hole into the carb, the way it seems like it should be, I've had my 04 since new and no one but me has worked on it. I'm sure it's stock. On the 89, I'm thinking I should just drill a hole through the brass plug on top of where the choke hole should be, all the way down into the throttle body, then carefully drill another through the choke port on the side to connect the two, tap the top hole, and put in a brass plug. Has anyone ever heard of this?
  3. So I bought a blown 89 that belonged to my girlfriends brother. He ran it after the idle screw (tors removed) fell out. I'm rebuilding it. I'm getting it all put back together now, and in the process of cleaning the carbs, was using compressed air to blow out the passages, left carb went fine, but as I was blowing out the right carb, nothing went through at the choke crossover port. I used a pick to feel in there, and nothing. Got a good flashlight, looks like there's no opening or anything in there. There HAS to be a hole, right? Am I missing something?
  4. I like camping at Hauser, luckily I bring my shower along with me. I like riding up in Winchester the best, the dunes are taller and steeper. The camping is harsh in Winchester, the wind breaks the non hard cores down pretty quick.
  5. Old lurker, booked my site at Hauser #86. Friday and saturday night.
  6. When and where is the Oregon ride?

  7. Need new clutch basket cushions. I'm thinking that means new basket as well. what HQ sponsor sells them?
  8. Sweet. He looks way legit. I called today but got his machine. I'll call him back about the cranks. Thanks.
  9. .....So I picked up a blown 'shee. Was my girls brothers. he ran it without an idle speed screw, seized the right side rod bearing. I'm in the process of tearing it down now. problem is, the clutch basket wont come off. I've got the nut and lock washer off, and its stuck. Am I missing something, shouldn't it just slide right off? The clutch cushions are shot too, so It'll likely need a new basket and cushions as well. I'm under the impression it's worth it to replace both at the same time? Side note; I'm considering a Twister stock welded crank for it, possibly an additional Twister crank for my '04. The '04 is just getting routine maintenance. I had the '04 factory crank welded by a shop in Albany back in '05-06. I've always felt a faint wobble. I assume a welded stock crank is unrebuildable? Anyone had experience with Twister?
  10. ya, methford. Just looking for a change. I'd just like a diffrent look with no cash outlay.
  11. My plastics are in good shape, a few scratches, the usual. No cracks or white spots (bends). Billet radius grilles. Blue. I'm looking for a complete set of white and grey plastics must be in similar or better shape, and complete. Trimmed is ok if well done. I'm just looking to change appearance, no other reason. I'll try to get some pics soon. Let me know if any specific pics are wanted.
