  1. I am in need of a stator for my 2000 shee. preferably a working OEM. Please, help i have a new build and i have not even been able to start it. I missed a great deal from NYUK due to not being online enough and missed his ebay ad. I could shoot myself for it. Anyways it would be greatly appreciated if someone could help a brother out. Thanks folks. Joel
  2. Looking for a working stator for my 2000 got one?
  3. Looking for working stator or maybe all electrical components cdi, coil, and stator. Stator for sure. let me know price of stator and all shipped. thanks, Joel
  4. I am in the need of a working stator for my 2000 Shee. Anyone out there with one they would be willing to get rid of please drop me a line. Let me know how much please include the shipping in the price. My zip 65043. thanks, Joel
  5. The pick-up gap is at .019mm. All wires are connected, except for the tors. I started looking into the ignition because it did nothing with the starter fluid and everything else seemed to be in order.
  6. If i find out that is what it is i will take it. Thanks
  7. It is a new build and it will not start. The compression w/ unseated rings is 145 on left cyl. and 155 on right cyl.. It did not fire on ether so i figured it has something to do with the ignition. The gas is 2 weeks old well 3 weeks now. I triple checked and re-torqued all the bolts to make sure nothing was lose and still will not start. The stator checked out it is within the range given by the clymers manual. I am at a loss if it is not the coil. thanks
  8. Thanks. I just purchased the ohm meter it is not the best but i would imagine it is a decent one (craftsman). I tested the stator and its range was similar to the coils range and the stator tested fine. I used the same setting to test the coil. Yes, i unplugged all the connections.
  9. Thanks for the replys guys. I tested the primary which like blowit said the 2 blade terminals and that is where i got the 0.00 reading. Someone said that they thought the coil should not have resistance. so that is why i am questioning the clymers. I was hoping to get someone to confirm the resistance reading on a coil that is known to be good. Thanks again for the replies guys.
  10. Will anyone please confirm whether or not their working coil shows any resistance when tested with an ohm meter? Mine shows no resistance and the clymers states that the primary should have a resistance of .28 -.38 and the secondary should show a resistance between 4,700 - 7,100. I want to be sure before i purchase a new one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  11. In the clymers on page 237 it has a table of ohm readings for the electrical system. It says that the primary should have a reading between .28 and .38. The secondary should have a reading between 4700 and 7100. I have only tested the primary and got a reading of 0.00. Anyone tested their coil before and familiar with this. Please guys this is a new build which i have not been able to get started and i am getting frustrated with this. thanks
  12. I was wondering if anyone is familiar with an ohm meter? I just got one to test my stator and coil and the stator checked out fine (was between the range that the Clymers stated was acceptable) but the coil is showing all zeros on the same resistance setting that the others showed correctly with. I think that this means my coil is bad. I was hoping someone had some prior experience that would share, so i dont go purchasing a coil that i dont need. Does anyone know where to get a coil for a good price? thanks for any help.
  13. thanks all for the help.
  14. Upon closer inspection they have a mixture of rust and what looks to be like some dried oil. on the contacts. I thought maybe some 2000 grit sand paper or some alcohol. thanks
  15. I am replacing my stator plate with an adj. one. While in the middle of doing this I noticed that some of the connections on the stator seemed dirty. Is their a safe or proper way of cleaning them or should they just be left alone? suggestions anyone?
