i have a 87 banshee with the stock shocks still on it. i was wondering if shocks off a yfz 450 will fit, and would it be worth putting them on my shee since i dont have the cahs to sport a big fancy set that i would love to have?????
i tore the top end apart and found some oil down in the bottom where the crank turns.. is that normal or is something wrong??? ive been told that oil isnt suppost to be in there.
can i get a 4 mil crank with my jugs thats come on the shee with cool heads with a certain size dome iin it and go that way or will i still have other things to do?
yea thats me i have the white 700 and my boy has the blue 700 i have the top end off right now i lost compression on right side and its at the shop right now getting bored out beside the fmf pipes thats all that is done to it i plan to get some v force reeds and thought if a 4 mil crank would fit in it just as is thought i might try it out ive heard it was the way to go but either way ill have it out ths spring and maybe we can line them up
i do have fmf pipes on it but other than that is is all stock. i have it apart right now getting it bored 30 over cause of loss of compression on right side just was wondering if it was worth going that much futher by putting a 4 mil in it
i do race there me and my boy both have 700 raptors and we both have won 1st a few time he also races bikes . now that i saw your shee i remember talking to you a few times either at milton or it was at pt pleasant
I HAVE ANOTHER ? I tore down my motor and found that the sleeve on the bottom of the piston was borke off and the rings was froze in the piston. well my ? is im thinking that the peice broke off of the sleeve is in the bottom of t he motor. Well if that the case how hard is it to slpit the block to get it out or can i just take one of the side cases off to get ot out?
Last time it was running was a few weeks ago. I just havent had time to take it apart to see wha the problem is and to be honest it will be my first tear down on a quad.is it going to be very hard?? i have torn down vw motors and built them back using stroker cranks and that was pretty easy but as i said this is my first quad motor . Thought id give it a try since it was only the topp end.
i have a 1987 stock banshee. It has never been bored out. It has a boost bootle and fmf pipes on it.I ran a compression test on it and have 140 on left side and 0 compression on right side. When i take the motor apart what should i look for?? Will there be anything noticable to show why there is no compression the right side??
