HI all, newbie checkin in. , i have never thought to look at my sprokets until i went racing with some friends on the pavement for bragging rights, well as a race would start we take off and of course i am off first because of the newly discoverd big ass gear in the back, kick in to fifth and the fun is still on but my buddie is starting to reel me in like a tired fish, By sixth its obvious he is havin way more fun just before i run flat. Big carbs, reed cages, and cpi inframes are all i can on his bike but know theres more inside because that mother is runnin on the big end, if you ask these guys they say stock(other words top secret shit"whatever" My ? is is there a happy medium with the rear sproket for me down from the 45t, i ride mostly trails, fields,and some occasional brooksville sugar sand. In the sugar sand i have no problem sitting with the old girl pinned even up a slight incline but first through third suck or fling actually. I believe there is improvement to be made on all surfaces by getting away from the 45 but dont think i need to go 41 there is a magic number out there somewere mabey its a 42.5t(kidding) just want to put sixth gear off a little. Will droping down make her a little linear through-out the powerband? Thanks,Gurus
