  1. Well guys I need your help again. I finally got my shee back together a little while ago & I was excited to start her up..but NO it didn't happen..Damn

OK I put on a Toomey T5 kit, I did each carb jetting seperately to aviod any mix up everything went smooth, Then I put them back on & Yes I kept those damn Tors.. I then proceeded to install the new T5's. No problems, I also did a Ign Swap with a new Dyna mod. Plug & play deal No problems..Air box Mod done .Everything hooked back up Gas turned on , gas was flowing to both carbs..NO Start!! I removed the Dyna, re-installed the stock one ..still NO! Put Dyna back on & Now I am lost.

This is a New 06 Banshee 2 months old. I have some knowledge to perform mechanical , but I am lost when it comes to electrical?

Could it be something in that Tors system? ( Yes I plugged it back in)

It was cold out in garage, so this all I did so far ..I knew maybe someone here could help me figure it out better than guessing..

It really sucks. I have been waiting for this day like 2 months.. I guess someday I will get to ride it..

any help or suggestions of things to look for greatly appreciated.

P.S. Keep in mind that I only have had this Banshee 2 months, and ridden it like twice . I start it by turning on key, push button to start pos., Choke on & kick.. Is this correct?

  2. Guys I must be a Dumb @ss. I took the exhaust , Carbs, & fenders off 3 weeks ago, and just got time to get around to re-installing everything today ..I ended up with a Spring left over? I remember taking it off, but where from??

It is long spring apprx 10"-12" long. I thought I laid everything out together( I had them with my 4 exh. springs? )

can someone help an old man?

If needed I can get a pic of it..

  3. Either one, whichever is easier; splice into the black wire in the harness or use an eyelet terminal to ground to a nearby bolt on the frame (the harness was easier for me). If it's a Pro Design tether make sure you got the right wire for ground, if you get them reversed it will still work (all it does is close the circuit between wires) but the exposed metal part will have voltage and will bite ya. If you're not sure use an ohmmeter or continuity tester to find the wire that has continuity to that metal part and use that one for ground. Good luck.

Got it!! Thanks guys..I love this place..& The Shee

  4. I had mine wired straight to orange/black at the coil (with a Dyna adjustable CDI) until I heard that it might hurt the CDI, so changed it to use the black/white wire from the CDI instead; the same circuit the handlebar kill switch uses, worked fine.

Do you still use a chassis ground ? or ground to switch?

    Thanks

  5. Well last week I installed my tethered kill switch, and This week my Dyna Ign. Mod came in . There is this bright Yellow warning label in box that states: Do NoT Use A Kill switch That is Grounded & uses coil for hot wire?? Now what? I used the Coil & chassis ground? Where is the next best place to wire up the kill swithch?? Any Help greatly appreciated....

  6. I am getting ready to install a kill switch, and I was going to use the wiring from the ignition switch. Is all I need to do is to connect the hot wire to red & black in the switch ( Key) & the black to black ground?

or is there an easy , simplier way?

Thanks & Happy New Year Everyone
