  1. Good point I will ask him to check the pushrod and bearing. Can afford to get struck in the middle of the sand dunes in Glamis. Thanks...
  2. The banshee in the repair shop. According to the service guy the clutch plates was causing the grinding noise. I hope he's right... don't want to replace a mainshaft.
  3. Can't determine what is causing the grinding sound in the engine. Everything time I pull in the clutch I hear a loud grinding noise. Inspected the clutch plates and spring all looked normal. Drained engine oil no signs of metal material persent. Has anyone ever deal with this problem? Thanks...
  4. The problem seems more like a clutch issues. Never had any problems with grinding sounds before.
  5. After a few runs on some bowls in Glamis, CA last weekend I noticed a loud grinding noise (metal-to-metal) developing in the engine. Shut down the engine, started in normal the noise continued as soon as I pulled clutch lever in the noise would fade away. Only when the clutch lever was release the grinding noise would be heard. I was 6-miles from camp and was able to return on my own power over the sand dunes on all gears. Anyone knows what I screwed up? May be the clutch plates broke loose? Please advice. Thanks....
