thanks alot for that info.....coil tested good.....15,000 ohms.....stator is brand new but we are going to check it later today as he has to go suck up to the ol' lady before she goes to work.....lol.....we will check stator pickup gap and resistance through stator corrrect?

hello...i am not a banshee owner as i ride bikes...but i have mucho respect for quads..it's all about the ride!...anyways....i am joining here to ask a few ?'s about my buddies banshee.....he has no computer and dumps all his money into his banshee.....here is what he has.....1996 shee with a +4mm stroker crank and a 404cc monoblock cylinders from vito's.....open kns.....bolted directly to the carbs.....35mm kehiens pre-jetted from vito's.....no reed spacers.....ricky stator stock output staotr advanced +4......stock coil.....pro curcuit pipes.....br9es plugs....ALL NEW...he has an intermitent miss at various rpms....i am tearing into it because he knows squat.....and i know a little.....i tested the coil with a ohm meter and found it had infinite resistance from the terminals to the ends of the wires.....not good.....now i want to take the wires out of the coil but how is that done?.....just yank'em out or what???.......thanks in advance........the coil was not new but what causes them to go south?
