i cant find any that are big enought tho.. most places i only see up to 200 and magic has them up to 320 but i want to order like 330 340 350.. its for the mikuni carbs i think they are called small hex... does anyone have a link to some that are bigger???

would i still have smoke if it was runing lean??? sorry for the dumb questions i am new to this
-
ok i will post whats in there when i pull the bowls..thanks for your time and everything i really appreciate it..this quad is killing me lol....its been like one thing after another sence i bought it... but i love it i have alot of fun riding
-
so you think it is runing lean now?? it only makes sence to be lean... but removing the lid and adding more air to the mix would solve a rich condition am i right?? because it runs awesome with the lid off
-
Well its almost like all the way up to WOT... it has no power at all intill you really let it rev up.. so even if you are only on the throttle a little it will just kinda buzz along and then if you pin the throttle down it will bog down till a certan point and then go.. but it doesnt go like it should like when the lid is off. i dont know how the carbs come from the factory so i dont know what jets are in it now... when i pull the plugs they look clean.. they are a little bit wet but its not too bad..

i am a new banshee owner so i am kinda lost when it comes to jetting... my banshee has a few mods and i just want to ask what you think i should jet it to... v-force reeds...k&n filter...FMF Pipes..the top end has trinity stage III stamped into it... i have no idea whats inside.. but it was runing way to rich and ran like crap so i traded my carbs with a friend for a set of rebuilt stock carbs... the problem is it runs like crap with the lid on the airbox and you really need to use a lid around here... it just bogs down and has no power till top end with the lid on... so am i too lean or too rich or what... i have the stock jets and everything nothing is changed on the carb right now.... i am at about 500 feet... thanks...

well i tested the coil and swaped it with another banshee and it did the same thing so its deff. not a coil... when it dies it sputters and then dies... i took out some crap that was wired into the harness it was where the cdi went in someone put these connecters that split one wire into two and then hardwired the cdi box in... so it still had the stock haness but not connected... i cut the harness out and then soldered and heat shunk all the wires... it ran mint for the 15 mins i ran it but thats not enough to tell.... its geting too late to keep riding it around i dont need the cops here again lol..
-
ok tired the new CDI no luck... same thing with the other one.. any ideas??
-
thanks for the ideas... i just got home from work so i am going to steal a friends CDI and mess around with it
-
ok my banshee wouldnt start so i went through some things too look for a problem... i took the wires off at the CDI box and tested the resistance of the pickup coil and the other one and both things were with in the specs and then i put the harness back togeather and it started... it runs for 5 mins at the most then dies... then if i unplug the cdi and plug it back in it will start for a little... do you think its a bad CDI??? or just some wiring problems?? Thanks
-
It doesnt lead to the stator... its right next to the one where the stator wires come through
-
is it bad that theres not a plug in there?
-
yeah its at the top of the case... it aims stright down
-
i just noticed a hole in my case on the left side right behind where the vin is on the motor...its not where the stator wire comes through but right next to it... should the be something in there or its just a open hole???
-
i put the newer style one on and it solved the problem... thanks

i just had to change my swing arm bearings because they were all screwed up and i couldnt get the bolt out so i had to cut the swing arm off... so a friend of mine had a swingarm around that was for an older style with the J-Arms..i threw that on it and put some new carrerier bearings in it... now my problem is when i adjust my chain my rearend shifts like crazy.... like as much as 2 inches if i measure from front to back wheel on each side.. so i figured out this trick i took a rachet strap and went from the axle to the control arm and cranked it down and got the back end all even... then i adjusted the chain and tightend everything up...everything was straight and nice till i took it for a ride for about 2 mins and the chain is loose again... i tightend the crap out of everything to the point where if i went anymore it would strip..why is this shifting like that???? is there a difference in the swingarm???
-
Well i am glad i am not the only one...lol... i can kick all day long wont start till i pull it
-
this is a really strange problem...well ever sence i have owned my banshee i have to tow it and pop start it after it has been on a trailer... i have had a few different carbs on it and they all did the same thing.. seems like the shee doesnt like to go for rides...it starts first kick at home all day long..any ideas??
-
