  1. LOL I read about the paradise lodge..... I just put new bearings, sprockets, chain, rear brakes. I also had to drill and put larger bolts in the carrier/swinger because they were ovaled. I don't think I'll have to put brakes on or anything because I went to put new fronts on and they were still like new with a few hundred miles on them.
  2. Thanks. They don't have any warranty do they?
  3. I have an extended axle that uses the moveable spacers by the hub and was wondering who made it. When I changed the bearings today I noticed it had a flat spot machined where the serial number started with LS-xx-xx-xx and didn't know if LS stood for LoneStar? The axle was nice chrome under the spacer, but the rest of it is painted. Also, the axle is not tappered from the wheel hub until and inch from the sprocket hub. Its eventually going to have to be replaced as the splines have a lot of slop in the disc/sprocket hubs. Tigged the sprocket hub to the nut and the two nuts together just in case it decided to let loose on my trip.
  4. Hey thanks for the info. Yes your right it is the responsible thing to do about the spark arrester, but with a 2-stroke I don't see as much danger in it. I could make a screen equivalent to a USFS arrester, but without a sticker or having it stamped on exhaust I figure its not even worth it if they want to be picky. The Rincon has a gallon worth of slime, plugs and more than one compressor as well as some basic tools. I'll be taking my camel back with some co2, plugs, hex keys, and 10/12/14mm wrenches and a small adjustable wrench.
  5. Hi. I'm will be going to Hatfield McCoy very soon but don't have a spark arrester. I was wondering if they check from the members that have been there. The plans were made before we realized this... I've read about alot of people going and nobody mentions them checking so I'm hoping it will be alright. We will most likely be doing the Browning Fork section, and try to go to Pinnacle if its not too far away.
