  1. I’m looking at building a 4 mil strictly for ice riding and after searching for days, I still haven’t found an accurate answer / suggestion for swingarm length and a good suspension setup. Being that all posts I found were from 15+ years back, I’m hoping that new light can be shed on this topic. For those of you riding & racing your Banshee on ice, what is the swingarm and shock / suspension set up that you’ve found to work best? Also, I absolutely love my ported 421 Cub for the dunes and I’m thinking of going for the same set up on ice. Any input on this? TIA!
  2. Hey all, I'm back in the Banshee world after being away for 12 years. I bought a stock banshee with T6 pipes and I live at 6500' and will be riding it at elevations up to 9500'. I'm wondering what the recommended jetting would be to start with at this elevation? Also is there a recommended oil mix that'll help keep the machine running strong? Any help is greatly appreciated. TIA

  5. I dont know, the bikes a '97 and he said that he has about 40 hours on the cub.. I thought about getting a different bike but this one has a lot of money invested into it (swingarm, shock, etc.) If I did buy the bike, I'm going to send the cub to have it dune ported but do you think it's even worth doing that or should I just buy a new cub and have it ported when I buy it? My biggest concern is how long the crank is going to last me, I don't want to have to rebuild that soon after I get a new cub
  6. Hey I'm considering buying a 4mil but the only thing that has caught my attention is that the cub motor is on it's 3rd plating right now. Do you think it's worth buying the quad for 5K or do you think I'm going to end up just putting a new cub in it down the road? If I end up putting in a new cub do I have to get the crank rebuilt as well?

  11. Are you talking about the OEM replacement frame for $856? If I were to order that would I get a title with it? I really don't want to spend all that money just so I can get a title but that would push me to get it powder coated black like I've always wanted.   12. yea Im about to sell it and just buy one with a title. I bought it stock for $2500 and I'm just afraid I'm not going to get much for it because of the title. It looks brand new with very low hours (afraid to ride w/o title) and its got a bunch of mods.
  13. I've been trying to get a new one for a year now and its getting old and annoying. I've even sketched the Vin # from the frame onto a piece of sketch paper for proof and they are still jerking me around. Im getting so sick and tired of this shit that im about to sell it and buy one with a title. my goal is to bring my shee out to tucson arizona where im moving at the end of the summer and get het street legal, but everyone out there is telling me I need a title to do it.
  14. I bought a 2003 banshee last summer from a guy in PA and he didn't have the title for it. The Vin # is still there and hasn't been tampered with and has been run thru the system and hasn't been reported stolen or anything. For over a year now I have been trying to get a salvage title for my shee so I can register and insure it. I have invested over $3500 into her and this is driving me crazy because I really dont want to sell it but I am about to (or trade for one with a title) because I can't even really use it without the risk of getting it impounded. If anyone could help me out on what I could do to get a title for this quad I'd appreciate it. I'm friends with the chief of police in my town and he has been trying to get me a title ever since I've bought it, but nothings happening. I need some advice on this. (Oh and PA police have gone to the guys house whom I bought it from but he claims he lost it, and NY/NJ is being a pain in the ass with this whole situation)
  15. Does TCS make a rear shock for the banshee tho? cuz its not listed on their site. also whats the Linkage on the ELKA site for $595? I wouldn't have the money until june, you think both companies would be really backed up by then?
  16. TCS is defenetly cheaper than ELKA, but TCS doesn't offer a rear shock on their website? Could I just use TCS for my front shocks and ELKA for my rear? Or should I just go all out with the ELKA setup? Anyone have any experience with either of their products?

  18. What are the best shocks for dune riding? I've been searching and ive read a lot of good things about ELKA, but the application guide on their website is kinda confusing me. It says stock length for the front shocks, but im planning on getting +2 +1 A-Arms, so would the shocks still fit? I'm also getting either a +2 or +4 swingarm, so would the rear shock fit? They are expensive as hell but ive read they make a world of a difference. I'd Appreciate any suggestions or help on this or any other recommendations of companies that make good shocks (for less money). I'f i go with the ELKA i'd go all out and get the Pre-load, Hi- & Low-Speed Compression, Rebound. Also- any one have any experience with the shocks that are on cascades website?   19. Whats wrong with running a cub motor? I thought they were very reliable? Im planning on going with a 4mil build 421cc cub with an aggressive dune port, either a +2 or +4 extended swing arm (which would u prefer?) Im going with +2 +1 A-arms. But do you think I really need to replace the shocks? shits so expensive, How are the Float 2007 fox shocks? Can I keep my stock rear shock, or do i have to replace that too? Im going with a +2 wider rear axle. A clutch lockout from cascade, a hi-flow impeller, an advanced timing plate (I'll prob run a higher octane so what should I bump it too?) I also have a noss cool head with 20cc domes, should I get 18cc or 19cc? Im going with a shift-star mod as well. I'm going with shearer in-frame big bores (would it really make a difference in power if i went with out of frame drag pipes?) and for carbs I'm either going with 28PWK or 33PWK (I duno about 35, mite be too big, but i duno) should i keep my K&N slip on filters or get a unipod filter or some other intake? What handle bars would you prefer? And what rear paddle tires? (how many paddles) Im sorry for all of the questions but I'm trying to put this all together and I need some expert advice. I'm going to have HerrJuggs do my motor work. So overall how much money am I looking at spending?

  23. ive done every bolt on mod except for an adjustable timing plate and it sounds like its kind of tough to do. im going to go with the pro-design one. id like to put one on my shee but i dont want to fuck anything up. how long would it take me to do this? and do you think if i put on a noss coolhead with no problems (just very time consuming) that i would be able to install an adjustable timing plate with no problems as well? ive been reading up and i know i have to get a flywheel puller, ive also read about it on the banshee electrical faq and thats what confused me and made me want to wait to get it installed by a builded when i get my shee ported and the flywheel lightened but i want to get the power advantage asap instead of wait till the end of summer when im gettign my shee rebuilt. how long and difficult do you think this mod will take to install?
  24. so if i put the shift star and shift pro in my bike then i wouldnt need the shift-cam? what exactly does it do?
